I just an article saying splash mountain should be rethemed for racist themes? What do you think?

NO... this has been addressed over and over in the past. Theres nothing racist about the attraction. But the way everyone is so emotionally driven by the past few weeks, I can see Disney now making some move to pander to the loud voices demanding a change.
Giving in at this stage saves them more grief than resisting.

That’s my thought. The media is pushing it bc of everything that is happening. I wish they would just leave it alone

I lean toward the side of removing racist imagery and icons. Having said that, Splash Mountain has been sanitized years ago.

FYI, it's readily available on the Internet Archive. I'll agree, the movie isn't good but the animated sections are pretty charming. I’d add that James Baskett gives an incredible performance and deserved the honorary Oscar he received for it.
