Splash Mountain

After the annual cleaning in Jan and Feb of this year, the splash now falls just short of hitting the log going into the mountain. So to answer your question no you don't get wet at that point anymore. So you can start riding it again.

I believe I saw a story on here shortly after the ride opened back up late in February saying that the splash could be adjusted for the warmer months of the year, which is most of the year in Orlando, to randomly splash the log entering the mountain, but I don't know if that's 100% true.

I was there in early Feb. and the logs entering the MT. were randomly getting splashed.

I was disappointed that the water wasn't jumping back and forth on Splash Mountain. Having been on the attraction many times, it was a disappointment. The lapbar didn't bother me. Since I'm scary anyway, it made me feel a little safer. I just started opening my eyes when we go down the flume.

I think he means the random cannon that shoots up and sometimes hits you after you've gone down the big drop and are going around the bend and up the small incline. Which I always thought was unneccesary wetness in the first place.

unneccesary wetnes is part of the ride it is called SPLASH mountain

I wrote a letter to TDO giving them accolades for a job well done in some areas but combined that with areas that need improvement.

I mentioned these things on Splash Mountain specifically, minus the lapbars. I am 6'2 and these do bother me, but I understand why they are there.

The other things including broken animatronics and general poor maintenance were called out in detail.

Not that it will do anything, but I tried.

Wait...are you serious?

He is. The 50% of all people are of below average intelligence; some can barely remember to breathe, let alone not get out of a ride vehicle (or stand up) in the middle of an attraction (when you're surrounded by water).

It wasn't an issue with fitting, just comfort....didn't seem like a lot of leg room. and I am not bigger just on the taller side at like 6'3-4ish.

And thanks for the info about the FSU thing and such. I guess ruining it was the wrong word but to see many things not working it was sad because I know they just did a refurb/cleaning in Jan I believe.

And yeah I really enjoyed the random roulette soaking you got from the cannon.

yes but my fiance is 6 6 350 pounds lol will HE fit

I mean the lap bars didn't prevent me from boarding or anything like that but I felt like my knees were cramped against the front. I never had any issue with Splash Mountain as far as comfort before so it has to be the lap bars as I am basically the same size as I have been for the last trips. (minus the fact I did eat some ice cream at Beaches and Cream the night before :) )
