I just saw pics from this ride and saw that after the big drop the flumes go in a shed and it is dark in there is that another drop?
Yep! there is...

100 feet STRAIGHT down into a very deep dark hole... so hold on tight... and don't get up during the drop... it's awsome...

After that, you're taken up an elevator-shaft lift, invisible, five thousand feet high, and fall right into Cinderella Castle, where you have sudden visions of holographic chicks. :D ;)

200th post!

Well, I'm always the heavy person (300 pds), so I try to sit in the last row to avoid getting soaked ;o)

Try the middle. It's the least wet spot in the log. :D

I don't know if the weight distribution in a boat would be much of a factor. The boats are actually cars and are not free floating at all for the drop. More weight might speed the log up a little. I'm a big guy as well and I always sit up front but I have never been SOAKED on splash mountain.

Which Drop is Bigger?

Splash Mountain
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Dudley Do Right

Splash mountain has a 5 story (I want to say 49 or something feet, not quite 50 but not sure) drop

Jurrassic Park River Adventure has an 85 foot drop (in darkness I might add)

Dudley-Do Right Ripsaw Falls has a 75 foot drop

What Splash lacks in sheer height, it makes up for 10-fold in theming. Dudley and Jurassic are great, but they still dont match up to Splash, and this is after my 4 consecutive (only having to get off and re-enter the line) front row, no wait rides on Jurrassic Park! Hope this helps.

If you are going to ride it for the first time, make sure it is NOT cool out. Get a fastpass for mid-day when the sun is at its peak and hopefully not behind any big clouds.

Well, why ARE you scared? Let's put it this way. People put their hands up and don't fall out (and there are no restraints), so it can't be too scary.

It is a mild drop compared to roller coasters. I guess the fact that you are not strapped in makes it more scary for some people.

Is it a 45 or 47 degree drop? Either way, its about half of 90 degrees.

For those who haven't let go, if you are tall enough, just wedge your knees under the handles.
