Splash Mountain testing single riders line!

i agree that it should only be single riders and get rid of fast pass i mean i have to admit they work in some cases but in others they are a big pain in the butt in my opinion i am happy to see that splash has a single riders line maybe like other rides it will be quicker to get on not like some fastpass riders like in the instance that the last time i was there they were still trying to fix what to do at Test Track (in my opion it will never work there b/c of the frequent break downs) and also while we are on MK how about the foolishness of the fastpass at Haunted Mansion.
anyways thanks for the single riders insight i can't wait to see the miricle at work when i go this coming august of 04

I feel the opposite. Fastpass is great I think, because you get to stay with your family. In a family of 5, some people wait a long time to get on Splash Mountain in the stand-by line, only to have some random person plop down next to my mom or my sister. It's one bench on Splash, not your own little seat like test track. Too weird. I don't like the single rider line at splash, and I'll just say I have 6 people if I have 5. I wait too long to feel weird the entire ride.

i sorry heyall but i was just saying they are both great ideas for the different person i mean you have a large family so it works for you meaning the fast pass but like me and mine we are 3 people but sometimes i will take a personal day and do the studios epcot and mk all in one day and for me as 1 person the single riders line works fastpass doesn't work in that way and i will just agree stand by works for no one and that is the true thing that should be aliminated!!!:sohappy:

I fall on the side of wanting single rider lines as many places as they can reasonably set them up. I probably still wouldn't have gone on Test Track if they didn't have them. Even in the off season, every time we have been there the wait has been 45 minutes or longer whereas the single rider line is much, much less. As for riding with strangers, that can actually add to the enjoyment for me because once in a while you sit next to someone who is going on a ride for the first time and it is fun to see their reaction.

I like the singles line too and I find that most of the time I can meet some interesting people using this that I normally wouldn't have met.

It seems unfair though to force somebody who waited in line for 45 minutes to sit next to some stranger just because they didnt want to wait in line. The only way this would be fair is if the odd member of the party is asked if they would mind sitting next to a stranger, and if not then the single rider can go. I however will never be one of those people. It seems like I would be punished for going with 2 friends instead of 3. I'll make it a point to complain on my next trip over, reguardless of if I ride the ride. I love being set in my ways. :)

Boy... this thread proves the world is chock-full of anti-social paranoid people.

Who cares? Enjoy the ride... it's just another human being sitting next to you.

They've taken the singles line out of Splash Mountain. It didn't work, partly because it was too hard to load three different lines on such a small platform.

I totally agree with most of the people on this forum though. I use the single riders line at Test Track every time I go on the ride. That is different because the seats are separated. A singles line at Space Mountain is a GREAT idea because you sit by yourself anyway and most of the cars go by with at least one seat empty anyway. Splash Mountain is different though. A crowded weat bench seat and hot Florida sun do not equal a good opportunity to get to know someone else! I'm glad Disney tried it though.
