Splash Mountain Refurb

So MiceChat reported today that one of the mountain's flumes is having its angle altered. Apparently this was a design flaw that's existed since the attraction opened.

In the meantime, Splash Mountain is two weeks away from again drenching satisfied customers. One insider explained, “The big work to the main flume is to correct a mistake since the attraction was first built: due to an engineering mistake, the flume was built at a greater angle than was originally designed. This rehab is going to fix it.”

No explanation was given about which flume is being fixed (concrete or fiberglass, flat area or drop) or why this was an issue that went unfixed for almost 30 years.

I saw this. Is it possible that a 2 degree change in the flume can effect ride experience in any meaningful way? Here’s to hoping they made all of the safety upgrades so the attraction can be properly maintained. With that said we don’t want too bright in there right bruh? @Hattieboxghost110

Upon further reflection, yes DL's splash is third place. But it's not like a 5th place WDW's pirate type situation by any means.
