It's a weasel.
Unlike the other SM animatronics, these are the only ones in WDW that come directly from Disneyland's "America Sings."
"POP GOES THE WEASEL" for those of you who have seen or heard the attraction.

Easy to spot. It's after you splash down into the second lower level where the turtles are floating on the water. Right were there the warning signs are on your left, look up. I noticed it doesn't happen all the time though but you can still see the hole where it pops out of.
A few seconds before you see it, you will also hear the same high voice say something like "We want you."
I have it on video and it's really cute.

Actually there is 4 of them. They pop out of the ceiling and make noises like "Whee" "Yeaaa""Yahoo" and last one sneeezes like "A..AAchhoo"
That whole area is called "The Laughing Place" after Drop 3 and before Lift C.

There is indeed a mole. He does indeed say something similar to FSU but since it's in a squeaky little mole voice, it's hard to determine what he said.
I have read in other Forums that he said FSU as a joke by some Imagineer. Who knows though! If someone takes a backstage tour, ask!

I saw it. The mole pops out before you pass brier fox holding brier rabbit in the honeycomb.

Sorry but not ture. The weasels are still here in our Splash Mtn. they just did like the rest of the AA's and rebuilt them.
