Because Splash is being taken down when it would normally shut for refurbishment. It won't be missed during the winter. Tron will open in the Spring, probably a little later than when Splash would normally re-open after its refurbishment. Almost a 1 for 1 but not quite.

Sorry man. But this was an idea generated under Iger’s reign.

If it *was* going to be postponed or even cancelled outright, it would have been under Cheapek’s mean beancounting regime. Now that Iger’s back, it’s off the table.


I suppose that’s one positive aspect of Iger’s return….cancelled projects might get new life.

I for one am hoping for they’ll revisit the Festival Center at Epcot.

It’s a beautiful building, reminds me of the 1964-65 NY worlds fair.

Well I said postponed, not cancelled, but it was a joke anyway.


I don't think with the stock going the way it is that Iger is going to do all that much different. He is more the same than not.

If he was that good at making sure the parks were back up to par quickly you would ja e already seem the little things start to come back. He just wants to have the glory of the big things like From and the rethemed mountain.

His first goal will be to restore customer confidence in WDW. What better way to do that than to bring expansion back to the table? (After fixing the Genie App mess, of course)

He has to get investors thinking that is a good idea first. Major expansions is asking for a lot first thing on the table.

Iger was in charge of the genie app, he wants the pay to play reach for nickels while dollars fly over their heads system: he started that machine.

Because the people at WDW corporate are complete and total @-Holes!!!!!!!
They don't give two #$%^% about customers - - if they did they would wait until Tron was open to the public.
