This was designed with the current layout of Splash Mountain in mind, combined with the supposed info from Jim Hill (Plot about trumpet, 2 Tiana appearance, LP/Other Side...)

Taking our seats in our newly painted logs, we begin the journey in a bayou riverbank (Light Green), and take off, eventually reaching a mill. In this mill, we climb a waterfall, and emerge in another, marshy riverbank. Here, we hear an instrumental version of “Down in New Orleans”. After an outdoor loop, we reach a small waterfall. This is our entrance to New Orleans (Yellow).

Reaching the bottom of the drop, we hear singing. Yes, we’ve entered a dockside harbor, eventually floating into the Main Street of New Orleans (yellow), as residents stand on the bank and sing Down in New Orleans.

Rounding the bend, where Br’er Fox/Bear currently are, we find Princess Tiana and Naveen waving merrily at us as we pass, calling out to remind us of the Mardi Gras Party coming up. Around the corner, where Br’er Rabbit stands, Louis stares frantically into the water from atop a dock, trying to track down his trumpet.

Going around a corner (Orange), the sounds of nothing but frogs and crickets can be heard. Suddenly, a loud POOF alerts us to look up, where we can hear the laughter of Dr. Facilier as he curses us down a small drop. On the right, where the hitchhiking alligator currently is, we see that Tiana and Naveen are frogs once again!

Ahead, we see Louis’ butt sticking out of a tree, and Facilier curses the branch Louis stands on to break, sending us down the dip-drop. We emerge in the proper bayou (Dark green), where Ray and his entire firefly family sing Goin’ Down the Bayou.

Another miniature drop, and uh oh! The first thing we come across is Louis trapped in a cage of prickers, simply covered in ‘em, reusing the current Br’er Bear in that spot. Ahead, in the former Laughin Place (Purple), we’ve entered The Other Side!

Travelling through the cavern, we watch as Faciler’s skulls/dolls/masks sing Friends on the Other Side. At the bottom of Facilier’s voice taunts us “Are ya ready? Are ya ready?!” As his voodoo magic pulls us up the hill, a shadow of Facilier menacing us where Br’er Fox’s cave currently is. Before he can do any real harm, Mama Odie pops up and fires her magic at him, sending us down the big drop.

Back outside (Light green again), we float through a riverside as an instrumental of Dig a Little Deeper plays. We enter the show building again (Pink) to a recreation of the wedding scene, complete with Tiana and Naveen, human again, aboard a steam boat, all singing Dig a Little Deeper. A little ways downstream, where Br’er Fox/Gator currently are, Facilier is being swallowed whole by his mask, recreating the sequence from the film. The ride ends with Louis once again searching for his trumpet.

Sorry, but I don't like it. It falls into the same "it's a sequel but we're still gonna try and make a book report out of it" problem that The Seas With Nemo and Friends and Frozen Ever After fall into. And it's way too obvious that it was once Splash Mountain. Plus this is gonna require a good chunk of the animatronics, many of which got their start in America Sings, to be either removed or reskinned.

Even Nemo’s rides are less book-reporty than FEA. It’s also entirely possible the rides will be re-routed to make them exact clones.

It seems the only movie rides these days that really tell original stories are Incredicoaster (which is so bad it’s the exception that proves the rule) and mono-IP land stuff like GE.

When you think about it, it's essentially the same format as the current ride:
Outdoor section w/instrumental music (HDYD/Down in New Orleans)
Drop
Cheerful Song/Level 1 (How Do You Do/Down in New Orleans)
Dip-Drop
Cheerful Song /Level 2 (Laughin Place/Goin Down the Bayou)
Creepy Segment (Burrow Lament/Friends on the Other Side)
Big Lift/Finale Plunge (Br'er Fox Cave/Facielier-Odie)
Outdoor section 2 w/ instrumental (Zip a Dee Doo Dah/Dig a Little Deeper)
Finale (Zip a Dee Doo Dah/Dig a Little Deeper)

How would America Sings Characters Fit in Princess and the Frog Universe?
I could see the geese being modified (necks shortened) to be become people. Those in the Laughin Place could be retrofitted into various voodoo things (especially the storks, they'd look the part well). I think they could keep the finale critters relatively the same
