A while ago, when Splash turned off the crossfire cannon next to the second lift, there was a huge debate about it and blah blah blah. I tried to find the thread and couldn't, so here is a new thread.
Anywho, over the last couple of weeks, I've ridden Splash a lot (because why not), and noticed something I've never experienced in the previous hundreds of times I've ridden it. Now, for the first time I've ever seen, the right most crossfire cannon (when facing the mountain, at the top of the first lift) is spraying just enough to hit the boats, coming over the rocks.
It's been doing it for days now, and I think I like it as a nice compromise. For one, it makes the splash down look bigger. It splashes the boats as they come around the briar patch, but not in the giant, cheap dump of to-the-bone soaking fashion the left cannon does that so many hate. You get wet, not soaked. Also, it's more of a surprise. It comes over the rocks directly at the top of the lift, so you don't see it coming, and you certainly don't meander around the briar patch slowly, anticipating it for a couple whole minutes.
I actually liked it. Anyway, anyone else noticed this? Thoughts? Other stuff? Derail the thread in to complaints about effects (most of which have been in better condition than I've seen in a while, though still not perfect, by the way)?
