New Lo-Res Spider-Man Photos From EW

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly features The Amazing Spider-Man on the cover and an article on the anticipated summer 2012 release with new photos. The issue hasn't hit stores yet, but Sony Pictures debuted a first look at the magazine on The Insider. Scoopers 'itsleroy' and 'Vid Electricz' were able to take some low resolution photos of the magazine pages as they were moving on screen which you can check out below. We should be getting better quality versions of these photos soon or even the video The Insider played, so stay tuned.

Directed by Marc Webb, the July 3, 2012 release stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.

I know the 3rd wasnt all that great but I still think its way to short of a time frame to do a complete reboot. I guess if they skip the whole origin story and just start right into things it could work. I am in total wait and see mode for this one.

Yeah, I don't know how this one will turn out. The cast looks pretty good, we'll see if its beliveable or not.

Yea thats the whole issue, its been such a short time (especially for a successful series) to re-boot, that it will just seem off. :shrug: I do hope Im wrong because I really want to like the movie. I guess that first trailer will tell a lot.

The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Coming Next Week!

SuperHeroHype reports that the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will hit theaters next week with select prints of Captain America: The First Avenger. They are hearing that the trailer is a full 2 minutes and 30 seconds long!

In related news, Entertainment Weekly has posted a better-quality version of the cover featuring Spidey in addition to the following quotes:

Four years after Spider-Man 3, starring Tobey Maguire, The Amazing Spider-Man promises to be a "more contemporary," "more gritty," and "more character-driven" look at the comic book hero. He's a hero the 27-year-old Garfield knows well. Growing up, "I related to Peter Parker [Spidey's alter ego] so much because I felt like someone else inside," he says. "I loved the comic books and the animated TV series and I even dressed up as Spider-Man as a kid."

Adds Webb: "Ultimately what this movie is about is a kid who grows up looking for his father and finds himself. And that's a Spider-Man story we haven't seen before."

Columbia Pictures has revealed the teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man! You can watch the trailer using the player below.

Opening in 3D and 2D theaters on July 3, 2012, the Marc Webb-directed action adventure stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
