I may not read comics but I do the next best thing and buy guidebooks that contain as much information about them as possible.

Given the turn of Frank in Daredevil I doubt that Disney/Marvel would have him go all out assassin again hunting down Peter, especially in an MCU film.Maybe we are getting the story where the Punisher is sent to kill Spiderman. It would be great to see the Jackal. This was the Punisher's first appearance in comics.

Since Daredevil has already appeared with Spidey in the last film, presume he's the conduit to bring Frank in to help deal with some villains.
