Hello,

I will be taking a weekend trip to WDW soon and I will be staying at a Moderate resort. My son is a HUGE fan of the Poly but we could not afford it this trip. I was thinking of taking him there for a day trip. Hitting the Marina and renting a boat, eatting lunch, hanging out etc. I would love to let him take a swim at the volcano pool, it's his favorite pool at WDW. I know that officially pool hopping is not allowed. (here it comes) BUT, what harm could it do, really? I will be spending a bunch of money there for the day. We're not a HUGE gang of people and we won't be causing any trouble.

What do you think my chances are of getting away with it? :lookaroun

The harm is. what if everybody thought as you did? The pool would be overrun with guests, which isn't fair to those that are paying to stay there. Just swim at your own resort pool per Disney's policy states.

I never understand the pool hopping fascination. I'd be so humiliated if I was ever asked to leave a pool because I wasn't staying there.

Seriously, Why ask the question when you already know the answer?

The money you are spending at the Poly is for the services you are paying for. You pay to rent a boat, you get a boat. You pay for food, you get food. You pay for a room, you get to enjoy the ammenities of the room which include the use of the pool. Eating at the resort doesn't entitle you to anything but the services of the restaurant.

Maybe when you are done eating, you can break into a room and take a nap.
