spending money $$$

So we've been planning this trip for quite a while now(2weeks 6days!!). . . and we have been saving as well!! But I was just curious what everyone thought about spending money. It's just my boyfriend and I going, some things I have read show we have saved more then enough while others ehhhh. . . so what's the average??

BTW we have the dining plan so all meals are taken care of, we have tip money put away and we will be bringing things for breakfast and extra snacks so we don't spend money on food.

Good for you having everything good to go, I went for about a week last year with a few friends, no dining plan, bought $700 for food and souveneirs, and I was good.

Depends on how many people you're buying for back home, you guys big on the pics they take of you? Just a couple factors to think about

With a family of four, without a Dining Plan, we budget $200 a day. And we are solid.
With a dining plan and just two adults...I would say less than $100 per day will be comfortable.

Your biggest expense at Disney is the food.

yeah we have three little kids (i'm a full time nanny for two and the other's my nephew!) 4 and under that we're gonna bring things back for, and two maybe four adults! Also we've looked at the pictures and I put a little money away for some pictures I'm hoping to do the scrapbook that they have for you to make on-line!

We brought just less than 700 but tip money was included in that. We also used our credit cards for some bigger purchases in the world.

We're trying to to shy away from using our credit cards, but it seems like we're on the right track for spending money!

Yeah definitely, I was fine with $700 and that wasn't including the dining plan.

Be sure to give us a TR

We need time for things to happen.
5 MILLION DOLLARS!!!
J\K we all know that won't won't buy you anything at the World. ;)

In all seriousness - you've got the food part (snacks, tips, etc) covered so it sounds like you're just talking about souvenirs - Depending on what kind of stuff you like buying shirts etc.the amount could vary, but with out any rugrats trying to drain you of every penny you've ever earned I think you and the boyfriend will be good with a 100 bucks a day.

Have fun!

@ShookieJones you're hilarious!

you guys are all making me breath a little better! I have a little over $200 a day saved and last time we spent about that (three day trip) if not less on souvenirs but we didn't want to be limited this time!!

We usually bring around $400 which pays for tips, souvenirs, and miscellaneous food items. We aren't big souvenir people - we usually spend less that $100 on those.

Sadly and admittedly, its whatever I've thrown on my KTTWC by week's end. We carry very little cash and put the majority of the damages on the room card. Depending on how "thirsty" we are that week and how many trinkets we decide to carry home, I would say an average of $500 a week or more (being on the dining plan but having to pay for gratuities.)

For 7 days for 3 of us (using free dining), we take around $700. Last year we came back with $200 which automatically went into the "future" disney fund.

yeah I'm thinking any of the money we have left over we're going to put towards next years trip as well!!
