Spectro Trouble?

ok, so i spent an hour in the MK tonight, before it closed. i hit HM, Splash mt, and POTC. On my way to Splash, i past Spectro Magic (10pm show), and didn't think anything of it, untill i noticed one of the floats being towed by a tractor-like vehicle. anyone know what was going on? the float was lit up and the CM on top was performing as if it was working fine. i'll attach some pics i grabbed, but the quality is really bad (i had to adjust the brightness levels a LOT to see the tractor clearly).

When was this? I was there just last night, it probally just had some problems that's all it always happens

The float probably stalled during the route, and this was the only way to get it out.

it could be one of several things...

1-float stalled
2-batteries dying (it happens)
3-rainy parade route (depending on the float, the tug can help it stay in control)
4-loss of brakes (if the tug is behind the float, it helps brake)

How about the CM riding the ball. Did he/she act like everything's normal. Or, did he/she give up doing the routine?

I saw the tractor drive by when I was watching the parade. I guess a float broke down along the way. Hey it happens!

i saw the parade this evening (christmas) at 8, and the little mermaid float stalled right in front of me for 4 or 5 minutes, moved about 15 feet, then stalled again for about 30 seconds. then, it took off at a pretty high speed--compared to its normal speed (to catch up, i assume). then, at the end of the parade there was that tractor thing. i guess it was there just in case something broke down. also, i don't think bald mountian was opening up. there's a lot of stuff that can go wrong with a show like that one.

A few months ago, in Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade, Rafikis float stalled about halfway through the route. Being the first float in the parade, it held up the rest of the parade. Finally the parade returned to Harambe, a few minutes late, and led by a tractor......

It only opens at certain points when the parade route is wide enough to fit his wingspan.

it's actually there to help the larger floats stop. At the end of the parade route, there's a bit of a downhill grade, and most of the larger floats can't safely stop there. So before the float passes the railroad tracks, a CM connects the tug to the back of the float

before any parade at the MK, a tractor drivers along the route about 20 min before the parade and parks on the Lib bridge. During Spectro, you can see the 2 girls that carry the lighted pole at the end of spectro, leading the tractor out from the Splash Mtn parade gate.
