So with Spectro Magic being gone should I expect something new? Is it in storage or is it being worked on?

No one knows for sure. The rumor is that Main Street Electrical Parade will stick around until at least Summer 2011, maybe 2012, at which time a newly refurbished SpectroMagic could debut, or a brand new light parade.

Here is my cents worth of an opinion...
It would make sense that Spectro is being updated during its hiatus from WDW, but I thought I read somewhere that is was moved to another park(other than DL). But it would make sense that it will return in 2011 or 2012 IF its being updated with LED's...it will take awhile for all the parade elements to be torn apart and updated. Which brings me to another topic that has been around the block forever...
If they can update, not only a parade or attraction, WHY CAN'T THEY UPDATE LIGHTS OF WINTER WITH LED's and bring them back to add to Epcot's Holidays? From the videos I have seen without the colorful arches, the area looks boring! But enough said, only time will tell! Maybe we'll be surprised in 2011 or 2012!?!?

I dont want a new one, I want Spectro Magic. I did hear that they were going to have the same parade new identical floats.

i just hope its something amazing and spectacular. =) maybe some new technology added...like a mini world of color float. =)
Im afraid, I mean there is a recession, I dont want the next one to be a downgrade. They refurbished the Electrical Parade and brought it back so I think we will see Spectro again. I do have a feeling the music will be synthesized, I wish Mannheim Steamroller would produce the music thats if they have to change it.
