Specific E-Ride Ticket Info

Okay, I have been bounced between Guest Relations and the Disney Store and I cannot get a consistent answer, so I am sure you guys and gals can help me out.

I am staying at the Grovesnor on Hotel Blvd...I am arriving Friday Aug 16th, an E-ride night. I am NOT going to a park that day, but want to partake in e-ride ticket night. I do have a 4-day hopper pass. Can I go, even though I was not in the park, and if so where do I exchange for the wristband, b/c all I read is about the wristband stations are inside the park. Disney Guest Relations said I can do it.

Also, if it is possible, do busses work the same? Or is it BYOT- bring your own transportation. Any help is much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to use-up one of your Hopper days to get in to E-ride night.

Call guest relations again, ask if they'll refund the day if you come in like a half an hour before the e-night itself.

We forum ladies did e-night last week. I purchased the tickets on check-in for everyone listed as a guest in the room. I was told that everyone must have a multiday pass or annual pass. We ere given a plastic "ticket" and told to exchange it at guest relations INSIDE the MK no earlier than 4PM.

We HAD to use our hopper or pass to get inside; the e-ticket is in ADDITION to your pass, not in place of. (or so I was told when I purchased it)

We got to MK around 6, exchanged our tickets for a wristband, and just "stayed" after the park closed at 10PM. The CMs started turning away anyone without a wristband. Interestingly, they told disgruntled guests that they could go to guest relations and purchase a wristband; they didn't ask where they were staying. I wonder if they sell them to the "general public" if they haven't sold out by starting time?

The buses ran to our resort until 1:30 AM...if you were later, there were cabs available, I believe.

Thanx for the info, I just called Disney again and they siad regardless of a ticket for the e-ride or a wristband they will let you in, as long as they know you paid. I am getting there too late in the day to use a day on the Hopper, but I might do like Rob said. This is too funny.

It really ***** if the only e-ride night is the same day you check in. We were able to go 4 hours early, so it was worth it to us. (plus most of us had annual passes)

If they say you have to have a park hopper pass, multi day pass or ap to go to Eride nights...find out how much more it would cost to add the fifth day to your four day pass. If its not a whole lot I would splurge...because in my opinion Eride nights are worth the weight in gold! You can cover so much more during that time. It would be a shame to miss it. Also you didn't say what time you arrive so that would factor into it as well. I wouldn't normally use a whole day of the pass for only half day...but I SURE WOULD if it meant I got to go to an Eride night.. our last visit Disney posted them...then a few weeks before we went they cancelled them, that was a real bummer! Let us know how it goes for you! My guess is they will tell you to use a day of the pass, because it would be a pain in their neck making exceptions for everyone....but you don't know what you can get until you ask...and it doesnt cost you anything to ask a question...even ask again when you get there if you have been told no...if attendance is down you might get lucky!

I was just on the phone with WDW-INFO and they said you can take part in the E-ride night if you are staying anywhere on property. Also, you cannot go to the E-ride night if you didn't enter the Magic Kingdom before closing, which means you have to go to the park that day.:drevil:

Kind of. I went over to Epcot for lunch (where my daughter and I met the handsome, charming, wdwcastmemberwannabe....also known as Tim from Calgary...but that's a different story ;) ) then we went back to the hotel to collect everyone else. We then went to MK at around 6...closing was at 10. As long as you enter the park before closing, and exchange your ticket for a wristband, I suppose you could arrive at 9:55 and still stay for e-night. (except that would REALLY be wasting a hopper day!!) So, you could spend the day in another park, then go over to MK just before closing with your e-night ticket and exchange it.)

The tickets were $12 when purchased at the resorts. Apparently, you can also buy them at the parks, even after (or very close to) closing...IF THERE ARE ANY LEFT.

Did the $15 ticket alone get you through the gates, or did you also have to use a hopper or pass?

I really doubt the $15 gets you in. I think its in addition to the park hopper. Hence, it bein an added perk you can have for an "additional" fee.

Which is why I asked him the specific question. My understanding (which I wrote earlier in this thread) was that the e-ticket was an addition to your hopper or pass, not a replacement for it. However, I interpreted his post as the e-night ticket was all he needed....I was just asking him for clarification.

As a forum lady who went with the Mom, I have two things to add to this conversation: a) as Mom outlined, we got there at 6 and stayed until after midnight--I felt like I had gotten my $$ worth and didn't waste the day, especially since I did all the stuff I wanted to do after closing. :) b) Mom bought the passes on our behalf, and they just exchanged for me without checking if I had a hopper or single day admission: she had to show her AP to buy 'em, but no one verified it once I was in the park....

But you still had to "run" a ticket through the gate scanner...the e-ride ticket alone didn't let you in. (of course, I didn't try to insert it into the scanner....maybe I missed out on a golden opportunity!! )

I appreciate all the info, I would have to say this is an extremely gray area!!! Well, I used to have an annual pass (and will again real soon) and there were many occasions I could walk into the park right at closing w/o a ticket (about 2 years ago, things do change) I asked, why do you allow this? They said the rides are closed, so people can only shop.

Anyhow, I am going to try and ask a Guest Relations at the gates. If not, I will try Rob's 1st idea. I will let you know.
