Special suggestions

I've been to WDW 16 times. Everytime I've went, however, I've been with my father. In June I'm bringing my two best friends and it's our first real trip away from home without parents... (hehe) I want to know if anyone has any suggestions of special things we could do. The more inexpensive the better, but I'm open to anything different and exciting. We kinda want to make this trip memorable. I'd appreciate any knowledge as doing disney with three teenage girls, is very different from doing disney with a parent. :p

That sounds like so much fun!

When I was in high school, I also went to WDW with 2 of my girlfriends our senior year. I can't think of anything special that we did, but just being there without the parents was pretty cool!

Is there anything your dad doesn't like to do? There's always hanging at Typhoon Lagoon, scoping out the guys! LOL Pleasure Island is always fun. If you're under 18 you at least have the West Side to play in after 7 or whenever they start to check IDs. And the resort pools at night have a fun party atmosphere, depending on where you stay. CB even has live music!

hehe, yeah scoping out the guys was not something my father and i did. But, Pool hopping was on my "to do" list. Sadly we are under 18, but we all want to go to Pleasure Island, that's one positive thing about having a parent there. But I like that idea.. maybe we'll just set aside one day to just pool hop and see if there's a group of three guys doing the same thing lol:p

Don't restrict yourself to the theme parks... just relax at the resort, at the pool, the water parks... One of my favorite lil things to do with my friends is to go to the WinterSummerland Mini-Golf course... it's fun to play late at night :)

Go to the Boardwalk at night.... you can walk to it from Epcot and there is no entrance fee! There are places that will require your id to get in, but others don´t. You can take your friends for ice cream at Beaches and Cream (or whatever itis called) and order a "sink". You will have fun eating it and the best part will be that you will draw people´s attention while having it! Who knows... maybe some guys will stop by then... :D :animwink:

If you are interested in meeting college aged guys just try to find some that are on the College Program. Chances are they will know where there is a party happening if you are interested in that!

OhhOhhOhh, all really good suggestions ::takes notes:: thank you so much.... I hadn't even thought about the mini golf courses! That;s great. And I completely forgot about Boardwalk... plus Beaches has amazing!! ice cream. We're staying in all star movies (so we can spend our cash in the parks), and ive only stayed in the other two all star resorts. does anyone know how movies compares? Cause it books up so much faster than the other two.

I agree with maria. Me and my friends love to get our palms read. There is a palm reader on the boardwalk. It was a lot of fun. Then we just walked around enjoyed the atmosphere, checked out Atlantic Dance and sat in one of the big couches in the lobby. :)

It probably books up fast because it's still the newest out of the All Star resorts, and it has some cool movie theming. The food court is really neat with all the lights and the video display menus. Personally I usually stay at the All Star Sports because I like the layout of the resort, I'm a sports fan (as most guys are), and the bus usually stops there first (depending on crowds). If the Sports is full, then I'd go to the Movies and lastly to the Music.

Also, doesn't atleast one of you have to be 18 to check into a Disney room?

awesome!! The palm reader sounds really great! We'd totally eat that up! I didn't know there was one over there! Is it expensive though? We made reservations for Movies cause I've never stayed there.. And yes Maria my birthday is today!! (yup sweet 17 lol) I treated myself to a calzone for dinner <<yum>> and yes one of us has to be 18, but my Father is going to sign us in... he'll be staying at his friends house about 2 hours away (but shhh thats a secret, disney doesnt have to really know that) ;) I can't wait to show them all these suggestions, theyre perfect!! :sohappy:

Thanks adr315, my friends and I aren't exactly the routy types... LoL (national honor society prez and vp, german club, swim team, theater etc.) It's not like we're going to be charging drinks to random rooms or something lol... Just like to get a feel for each pool. My father and I did it for years. And, if we're questioned (which i doubt) we could just leave and say we didn't realize. No biggie I'm sure.. Doubtful we'll get thrown in Disneyjail. It's an inexpensive way to have fun. But, adr's right, responsibility is the key word here. Now, I know the pool at the beach club is awesome (i stayed there in August), but are there any other particularly fun ones? I hear the one at the Contemporary is great, but crowded...I hate crowds :p

First.... happy birthday yesterday......but..... be careful.....there a lot of "townies".... locals that have passes and troll aorund the park looking for trouble..... 1. never tell anyone that you are there without adults. 2. Never go anywhere with someone where it is dark. 3. Never give out your room number. 4. Use only Disney transportation.... accept no rides. 5. Have fun... your parents are braver than me.... I know I will have to deal with the same thing in a few years with my daughter.... she thought that she should be able to go to Spring Break at Daytona this year with a group of kids.....HA! NOOO WAY......!:)

Aaawwww.... thanks for that post!! Noone had said that! Please Alee, LISTEN TO HIM!!!

I´m old enough to travel alone and ALWAYS follow those rules. You never know... Don´t smile to anybody who smiles or looks at you, please! When I have traveled alone, I always have this big face and sunglasses and still get nasty people talking to me...

Last year when in Italy, a guy followed me on the street and another one in the train to Rome... really scary. I was always going "on my way to meet my "firanzato" (fiancée in italian)...

So... exercise your common sense no matter what your friends say, please. :animwink:

Yeah, I totally agree with both of you, because I was on a tour in Greece and had problems (I've learned to not make eye contact). I've never been on a real vacation with just my friends, but I've been with tour groups and foreign exchanges to Greece, Italy, France, England, Germany, Portugal, and Spain. My parents are used to me going away w/o, but I've never really been without an adult. And I'm glad you said all that because sometimes people gets so caught up in it being 'Disney' and 'safe' that they forget that some people there aren't so safe. I was there a few years ago with my dad and his best friend and his daughter and a girl was raped in the Contemporary. We were shocked that it could happen in disney! You can't get away from it! Ugh. I never knew about the "townies" though. I'm glad my dad's going to be staying 2 hours away in case something happens. Though we're definitely not planning on giving our hotel room number to ANYONE or visiting anyone in their rooms. Actually, Saturday we're having a meeting and I want to show everyone's parent/guardian this thread with the ideas you guys gave me and the safety precautions. Hopefully it'll help them slep a little better while we're away!

I'm always telling Vanessa and Sara (the other girls going w/ me) about stuff I learn on this site....I think theyre getting a little sick of me (hehe I'm a disney freak, im used to it). But theyre excited.
