special request during online check in not working?

I did my online check in today since i am 10 days out. When i got to the part for the special room request everytime i click on it i brings up a pop up window but there is no place to actually type in a request. Anyone else having this issue?

boy that kinds of stupid. You think a big company like Disney could get their website to work properly or remove the items that don't work altogether

It's not a bug. They don't want to accept requests through online check-in, except for those limited items that are listed with checkboxes on that page.

If you want to add requests to your reservations, you'll need to call 407-WDISNEY.

Yes, that IS kind of stupid. Coding a limited length text field is trivial. The net effect? You will CALL, achieve your goal, and WDWs costs for personel time will increase. So, to vote on this issue, be sure to CALL. Money off the bottom line speaks.

You presume that Disney's goal is to assist guests with special requests for rooms. It's not. What they want to do is to minimize the time/cost that goes into assigning rooms. So they allow a limited range of special requests via checkbox - pretty much all things that are actually independent of which particular room the guest is assigned (like pak-n-plays). The majority of guests (not so much the message board types, but the ordinary guest) will simply assume that special requests aren't taken/won't be considered at all, since there's no place to indicate such requests on the form. Others will consider calling, but will decide it's not worth waiting on hold or navigating the menu prompts to talk to an Cast Member.

The end result is net fewer special room requests to deal with, so room assignment is less complicated to complete and can be done more quickly.

I dont know how many people have used this recently but when you click on the special request the only thing that happens is box appears but there is not box to click on for say a pak n play or anything like that. There are NO options to choose from therefor the only thing the special request button does is open a useless box.

I did the online check in could days a ago and when i picked pack and play it gave me an error that said it could not process special request. I did it again right away and it worked
