special hotel requests

Question.

I have the party booked for two rooms at the All-Star Sports.
Preferred rooms

I have requested non smoking and requested they be close together and with in certain room number range. Hopefully getting the pool side room. Thanks to the map and room layout at WDWig. great site also...

If the request is on the confirmation they sent should I follow up with the hotel 5 days prior or does this even help. Just wondering. I am hoping by having preferred rooms this will help the odds of getting rooms together but really hope to be on the pool side.

We just got back from a stay at All Star Music, and stayed in a preffered room. Our room had a door in it connecting it with the next room. I don't know if Sports has the same but it's worth asking for. I also requested ground floor, and we ended up poolside, about as close to the food court as you could get!

Yes, besides making your room requests when you book I would also suggest calling (407-939-5000) or faxing (407-939-7333) the resort 3 - 5 days prior to your arrival. If the rooms are booked separately ask for them to be cross referenced. You can also request connecting or adjoining rooms.
