Special Christmas Displays

Various TV networks have shown the "Special" displays that have been set up a resort hotels and other places at Christmas. They showed a display of Gingerbread houses at GF last year. Is there a list of these displays or exhibits available somewhere???

Most deluxe resorts have large displays. The best advise I have is try to visit them all. The Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, gingerbread carossels and other various displays are absolutely amazing. Bring your camera.

We're going down late Nov/early Dec & staying at AKL. I'm SSSSOOOOO excited to see some of the cool displays set up for Christmas. We have a 3.5 yr old who is going to enjoy stuff like that as well. Can't wait to see her face as she sees some of the fantastic stuff. Its even better to experience things like this through her eyes.

Is there anywhere set up in WDW for visiting visiting Santa during this time? Sort of like you'd find at the mall? Or is it 'just' Mickey dressed up like Santa? Thx!

Hi,

Great time of year to go, we went the first time last year and it was great, we actual took a day to visit many of the resorts. I did not see a list other than checking various places and seeing the show on the travel channel on Christmas at Disney.

We saw the following:
Grand Floridian-The Gingerbread House as well as a huge tree victorian decorated.

Beach Club-Has the Gingerbread Carousel as well as a tree.

Yatch Club-Has a display with a small village and train going through it.

Boardwalk-Has a gingerbread Fair or Carnival.

The Polynesian-Has a gingerbread Polynesian House with a train around it.

Animal Kingdom Lodge-The have a large tree with African Decorations and an seen from Africa done in gingerbread.

Wilderness Lodge-I believe they have just a decorated tree.

Those are all the one's we saw. We are going again that time of year this year, will be there Nov 28th thru the 2nd at AKL, though this year we probably won't be doing the tour of the places as we are doing a shorter stay.

Have fun,

We love to visit the displays at the deluxe hotels! And we also buy a snack from the full-size gingerbread house at GF. Ask CMs about hidden Mickeys. We particularly had a lot of fun looking for the Mickeys on the carousel at BC.

this was something we did not have enough time to do in 2004 so I think we will do this on our arrival day and again hit the last ones on our check out day after we've finished in the parks...we are driving so we have that flexibility...getting so excited!

Hey CindiFan... we will also be at AKL Nov 30-Dec 9! Maybe we'll run into you in the lobby! LOL

Our wee one will be ALMOST 3 (thank goodness... we miss the paid ticket by 5 weeks!) and will most-likely be overwhelmed by Disney (not to mention all the Christmas stuff). A place to visit with Santa would be great... will that info be available somewhere once we arrive?

We've gone several years during early December, and Santa is always waiting for us at Downtown Disney! We have pictures of my son and Santa (the same Santa:) through the years.

Also, if you go to the Christmas party at the MK, Santa is usually near City Hall.

They also have a Santa hang out on one of the little side streets off of Main St USA in the MK and Santa and Mrs Santa have a lovely spot over in the American Pavillion at Epcot. Santa is EVERYWHERE!

Thanks everyone for the info on Santa being in WDW during the holiday season. Wanted to know if I could tell our daughter she'll be able to visit Santa while we're there. Of course, he may not have any impact at all with Mickey, Minnie, & the princesses around. :)
