See I disagree- Why, because I believe this is a “TEST”. See what people think!

If the Spain Pavillion was a test, then all the countries for the MC would have been a test too. The MC was back in 1990 and 2000. If they were to add a country form the MC, plans probably would have been announced by now. It's almost 2003. A plan for a new pavillion should not take this long!

I’m pretty sure that Isreal would LOVE to have a permanent pavilion in Epcot and they are one of the few countries that doesn’t seem to have a problem putting up the cash for one. As I understand it, they have wanted a permanent one for quite some time now (part of the reason their temp one was so much more elaborate than any other country) but there are reasons other than money that have prevented them from getting one up to this point and unless something amazing happens in the next few years, it will probably be a good long while before they get one. It is a real shame because they would be willing to do something big and popular and they would be a very unique addition to WS. :)

In any event, I don’t think these kinds of things happen quickly. It requires a long-term commitment by the countries and/or companies from the countries for sponsorship as well as a design that both the sponsors and Disney are happy with. MC could very well have been a sponsor fair for all we know and there could still be something to come out of it. Personally, I would rather them announce something when they are ready to break ground than do like they did with the opening of Epcot where they promised pavilions that never came to be. At least this way, when we are disappointed to see web rumors not come true we only have ourselves to blame for getting excited – you know? ;)

Heading for the great escape.
Dont know how much water this holds but a woman on the stand (non Disney employee I think she was something to do with Spanish tourism) was under the impression that this stand would become permanent but surprise surprise would be a resturant.

The other night I was walking along World Showcase in the evening and came up onto it. I was like what the hell at first LOL. But pretty nice for a short festival.
