Spaceship Earth Question

I was looking at some websites and I found a place with EPCOT Opening/Closing Dates. And it said at SE opened on Oct. 1 1982 (which most people know) but it said that on 5/29/86 the Walter Cronkite narraration and Tomorrow's Child ending were put into place. I was under the impression that Cronkite and Tomorrow's Child were at SE from the begining until 1994. Of course since I am only 18 I do not remember any of EPCOT (much less Spaceship Earth) from 1982-1986. So can anyone clear the original narrator and the original ending for SE? Or by some chance has this site recieved bad information. This is really interesting to me. Here is the link to the site.

That is a very informative site :) I'm a big fan of the retro Epcot. Actually according to the site.. there was only music at first..then in 86 they added dialouge(pardon my spelling). Thanks for a good link

I think the "Tommorows Child ending" is a typo as I was there Opening day and remember the music. The vocals are only in part of the music and when you rode the ride you may not have heard the vocals before it looped and started over. You heard it after the center descent area when you level off and then desend to the unload. It's possible the site adminstrator missed this. Also the original Narrator was Vic Perrin, and his narration is now being used again as they have dropped Irons. ONE QUESTION, does any body remember the line "Behold the majesty of the Sistine Chapel"? I'm offended that somebody was offended by that. Excuse me but if you can't appreciate fine art and want to ruin it for every one else STAY HOME. Sorry, off soap box now. I can't stand complainers that make things change to suit the minority (ie women chasing pirates etc.)

Well if I had explored the site more I could have found that out. Sorry about that guys.

When did they drop Irons??? On my July trip he was still the narrator. This is very interesting.

I am also a big fan of old school EPCOT. I love Test Track and I am sure I will love Mission Space as much as any ride down there but to me there is NOTHING better than a 1980's-early 90's EPCOT.
