Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Where else in the world would people actually WANT to be evac'd of a ride ? And yes, I'm one of them.

Ha, we are an odd bunch....

I'd say the ride I'd most like to be evact'd from is PotC. This is tough; SSE is definitely high on the list. And to think, people complained about this?! What are they, nuts!

Yeah -- I already found myself thinking about what I should have omitted in order to be at the 180 top...

Best I can figure, if I hadn't had a bag to be searched and I hadn't stopped to admire the mirror column (even though the walls were still up), I would have been there.

Also if the bus from Wilderness Lodge (where I dropped in for a brief resort visit/tour/etc) hadn't stopped at Fort Wilderness, I'd have been in 180 heaven. Oh well -- que sera sera.

I don't get to go to WDW enough to actually want to be evacuated from a ride. I guess I am in the vast minority here, but I have absolutely no desire for this ever to happen to me. I actually don't want to see the ride with lights on and see how things work...I prefer to just be ignorant to such things and enjoy the ride as the designers intended.

Thanks for the pics!! I got to experience an evacuation of the TTA when I was there in early June. I was stuck in Space Mountain so I loved it, however, it did seem like it took forever for them to get us off the ride. SSE must have been a real treat for you. Thanks for sharing the pics!! It's not everyday we get to see one of our favorite rides with the lights on! :)

I see where you're coming from. I'm kind of torn. I'd love to have been there, then again I don't want to spoil the illusion for myself, but I really want to see it!! What to do!?! Heck, I almost looked at the pics the same way I watch scary movies, with fingers laced in front of my eyes to filter!

I think we're all failing to ask the big important question...

...what kind of cell phone do you have that can take so many fairly nice res. photos?! My digitial camera barely takes that many photos at a time (ok, I'm kidding...)

None the less, I thought seeing SM with the lights on when I was 6 was kick-butt. Its the only think I remember from that whole trip. This would have been cool.

Maybe I can get the walking tour while I'm there in 3 weeks during Refurb... if I ask really really politely

Like a Grand and Miraculous Spaceship. That's awesome, and one of my dreams is to get evactuated from a ride because of breakdown(I've done just about everything else), I would have loved it.

I'd pay for that experience.

Work for disney and you won't have to pay for that experience. Every year, they hold a few tours for CMS and by goodness, it's one of the best tours I've ever been on for disney. *___* Unfortunatly, even as a cm, we're not allowed to take pictures but just being all the way on the top is just amazing. It's obviously pretty steep and you get tired climbing up and down the stairs at the end and beginning of the ride, but it's totally worth it.
