Before the space scene we go thru that tunnel with the green lights. I watched an old video of Imagination and saw the same thing just different images before the science scene. Is that the actual one?

What do you mean, "actual one"?

I know the effect you are talking about, though, and yes, it looks like a precursor's to SSE's.

No. The technologies are totally different.

SSE uses a Digital light projector mounted above. And that`s it.

Imaginations was a great combination of liquid neon, fibre optic, lighting and panning gobos.

Imag didn`t have a `scrim` - the gobos and lights were projected onto a translucent tube. The neon and optics were embedded in the tube. Like most things in the original JII it was far more complicated than it seemed.

Shame they didn't use the concept in SSE94's "Electronic Babble" tunnel, and now, in the Matrix.

I know that imagination projector probably made it to the dumpster but I would believe the screen is in Spaceship Earth. I like the old tunnel better and it was well better explained back then.

Thats when they made everything to perfection. Spaceship earth only has one and you can see it. When I was a kid it was hard to figure out the secrets behind those walls. I miss the neon tunnel. I did notice that they added more mead to the beginning.

Those are part of the green star field type of affect that happens at the end, I do believe.

I think that`s been asked before. It is IR light bouncing off a different material (possibly a patch job) on the top of either the edge of the 152ft ceiling or staircase 2. I can`t recall which.
