Spaceship Earth is "not" scortched

Trust me everyone. SSE is not scortched by fireworks or lightning. I have discussed the matter with several people of epcot importance and they assure me that it is simply a case of dirt and will be gone the next time they clean the alucobond. Yes, alucobond does need cleaning after all, contrary to whatever some people may say. I know people at Epcot that have gone Rapelling down Spaceship and I imagine that will be happening again sooner than later.

Cheers!

Could you go back to the EPCOT importants and ask them how the dirt collected in that little area? I'd really like to know since we spent God knows how many pages in the other thread trying to figure it out.

Who are your "contacts" there? What do they do? Just wondering - we always like to have some sort of back-up to "facts" like this. If you don't provide your sources or some sort of verification that you're not making it up, there are lots of people on here who will attack you...so just offering some friendly advice before that happens!

Welcome!

This is interesting, I was there a few days ago and didn't notice anything wrong with SE........that is, other than an annoying hand with giant wand....

Ok, I must have missed something somewhere. What is this about? Can someone post a link to the thread mentioned above. I looked for it but couldn’t find it anywhere.

Okay, so they were wrong

Okay everyone, looks like my information was wrong. The Ball was actually struck by LIGHTNING a couple months ago. No one really looked into it because the mark was on the parking lot side of the park. (Seems kinda strange if you ask me.) It wasnt until a guest wrote in a letter that it was looked into with any seriousness. A memo went out to the managers today explaining it and now everyone knows what the situation is. As far as it being fixed, they will have to replace the panel. Let's hope that happens this year. (Write more letters:) )

As far as my credibility is concerned, I can only give information when I hear it. I originally heard from a couple Epcot leaders that it was just dirt. Now it seems that they believe its lightning and I believe it. Just please don't ask me to mention names because I dont want them or myself to get in any trouble.

Cheers

Okay then... Up with the wand!

(I don't care which direction, so long as it leaves. :lookaroun)

Why would you want the wand covered in leaves? Is this some kind of Eco campaign. I think we should be told.

It is a DIVOT, About a month ago, someone tried to swing a golf club at it and they hit the ground, spewing grass and whatever up onto the ball. They got scared, replaced the divot in the ground, but forgot to clean the ball. They ran away, and left the big golfball how it is today. It is a simple golf mistake.

Grizz - you got me worried for a moment!

Whatever it may be, at least management are looking at it, and it seems they listened to a guest too. Keep us posted on what you hear, Mark!
