Spaceship Earth inquiry...

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or im just being picky but, there is a spot on Spaceship Earth that does not look good to me. When your passing the "beginning of the home computer part" RIGHT BEFORE you enter the top with the earth and stars you go through a tunnel with codes. The codes only go 1/2 way up and the rest of the wall is just black. I know this isn't big deal I am simply only wondering if anyone else has noticed this or knows why. I have noticed this for years now.

When SSE first re-opened after it's refurb it wasn't like that. We noticed it on the last trip too. We compared it to video we caught on the first trip and our assessment was that either the screens the "matrix code" are projected on have gotten thinner or the projector that sends the code to them is getting old and letting light in around it and lighting up the back of the screen more than it should. If you watch that's ultimately what's happening (either because of the screens or the projector - pick one lol). It's essentially lighting up so much of the area around it that it's losing the effect part way up.

I don't pretend to be "in the know" though so take what I said as a thought only. I remember being in awe of how well done it was the first few times we road it though so I can at least say you aren't crazy that it looks bad now. LOL!

haha I wasn't thinking that about you at all it's okay. I wanted some sort of input so I wasn't thinking I was just being crazy picky or something! I could see it looking pretty good if it actually had the affect that I think it's supposed to have.

Another theory my DH reminded me of was the projection of the Earth being brighter and hence illuminating the screens more than they should be which, y'know, he's got a point because on our last ride through I noticed that area being a bit brighter too.

Yeah I have noticed it for the past year ago..and we were there over the weekend, it looked pretty bad.
