I bought a shirt for my trip that says, "If you can read this, thank the Phoenicians." My wife, who has never been to WDW, was confused. I said, "You'll get it soon enough." She thinks I'm a big dork... which I am.

I enjoy its looming presence over the whole park, how you can see it from almost every outdoors area in Epcot.

I like how its the last great Epcot dark ride still in operation.

I can still see Mickey waving at us in the old TV commercials. I mean, he's not really there, just my hallucinations. But they're nice hallucinations. Anyway, it's not just Disney history, it's U.S. History. Sam Eagle approves this message.

Wasn't he also on top of SSE in the intro to the TV show Disney World Inside Out?

It's the last remnant of when Epcot was about big ideas and celebrating man's persistence and ingenuity. It's lengthy, but never dull. The sets and AA figures are meticulously-designed. It's one of the last attractions from a time when Disney was proud to say, "Look what we can do." I hope it never goes away.

It feels like my local Public Museum 'come to life' and I love my Local Public Museum. It educates but is still interesting and occasionally inspiring (I enjoy watching the Sistine Chapel be painted). The top of the ride with the Earth projection makes my heart swell with joy. Can it be improved? Certainly. But I still feel there is joy to be had in riding it now. (From a riding it perspective, I only know the current version. The previous incarnations I only know by video and audio recordings.)

It needs to be refurbished. Just got back from Disney and the ride broke. One of the cast members told us that it's old and difficult to figure out which sensor fails and stops the ride.
