Recently, I read that giant fans are used inside Space Mountain to produce a draft so it seems like you are going faster.

I am only sure on the Disneyland/Tokyo versions though. Anyone know about the WDW version?

Damn, I read something too about fans in Florida. I`m sure it was on this board but I cant find it now. Something about fans on the lift hills, but not to make you feel you are going faster - they squirted water mist in the air and it blew at you, kind of fogging everything. Didn`t work for long - it kept messing with the track sensors!!

If any one can point us to the original thread, I`d appreciate it!

Space Mountain Fansite

I have well often gone to this site for SpaceMountain info. It is mostly accurate with a few mistakes.

Anyway, I believe it mentions the mist machines also but there are separate fans in the main part of the mountain used to create the draft.

Check the disneyland page for the fan thing.
