Space Mountain

I just visited WDW, and at the end of the Space Mountain there was a line, "In the future, packages will be sent to distant worlds through beams of light." My favorite singer, Howie Day, does a song called Beams of Light, which says "distant lands". I was wondering if anyone knew if the DisneyLand version of Space Mountain said lands or worlds. Thanks

Although I have never looked for the sound, I have never noticed it.

There is no recording of any kind at the end of Space Mountain in Disneyland or in the exit queue (except maybe the old com chat recording). The line you're referring to is unique to WDW's version which was designed for the FedEx display you see when exiting. The only FedEx display at Disneyland consists of a few framed posters just before you leave the building.

The spiel you heard is part of the old FedEx theming, hopefully next time you ride Space Mountain; the mining planet, the lab, and those stupid cameras near the end of the speed ramp should all be gone when our new sponsor takes over. If you noticed the monitors in the load area that displayed the SMTV video loop have been removed.
