I'm not a really big thrill seaker(big drops make mepee me pants!), I want to go on Space Mountain but I don't know if it's for me. I love mouse rides but big drops scare me to death! If anyone can give me info on how THRILLING Sp. Mt. is that would be great!

There are a few small dips on Space Mountain but nothing big at all. There are a lot of fast turns but it isn't that jerky. Try it. Its not very thrilling at all.:hammer:

Ah! Space Mountain is a piece of cake! the only thing that makes the scare of the ride is its dark, and its not even that bad, there is a few drops in the ride, but trust me if u can handle wild mouses the drops r a sinch on this ride. Try it out u will like it alot!! inever use to like drops on rides or anything or caosters, but as soon as i rode SM im all into them =), Its a great family style and is not intense at all! Hope u have fun and check it out! :) :)

The drops are easy and actually the fact that it's all in the dark makes it easier because you don't see anything coming and don't get scared anticipating it...go for it and have fun

Space Mountain is not a bad coaster at all, in fact I think it only goes like 27 mph. BTMR goes faster. The only thing SM has over it is its all in the dark. And I'm sure you already know this, but if you wanna take a look at it before riding, hit the TTA. That's what I plan on doing with a couple of my friends when we go in the future so they can see how easy the ride is.

:) No problem the ride is very tame comparied to how it used to be--- Nothing at all anymore. Yes, that is a good idea going on TTA. You can also check out the line and see how long it is.

The ride ued to be faster and darker-- before they changed it. Be sure to ride both side if they are open. One is different than the other. I do not remember which is which but one of them just goes around. I am sure the CM will tell you if you check with them. The worst part is the LONG!!!! walk to get on. Ha Ha --Any way GOOOOOOOO You will have fun!!!:D

Wouldn't worry about riding Space Mountain...not really any huge dips and it really isn't a "monster" coaster. What makes it special is 1) the theming and 2) its in the dark. I see it as a coaster that's good for the whole family.

Last trip (Apr '01) my daughter (12yrs) rode Kraken, Big Thunder, RockNRoll, Tower Of Terror (you get the idea) but when it came to riding Space Mountain she said that it was so boring she nearly fell asleep.
Dont get me wrong, she really enjoyed the ride - but its just not in the same league as the other thrill rides.

The longest drop in Space Mountain is only 10 feet, and I always love looking at the Chocolate Chip Cookie Meteors (yes they are projections of Cookies). Believe it or not, the Space Mountain at DL in California is a whole lot faster and rougher. SM here at WDW is one of the tamest Rollercoasters you will ever go on, but it is still great fun!

I think there actualy pretty much the same. Lol. There just mirrored to eachother.

Oh, and the official facts say that the maxium speed is 27-30'ish MPH...and the longest drop is 32 feet. The speed can varry slightly throughout the day do to the weight of the rocket-train, and the time.

Don't worry, this ride is easy! It's a blast, I promise, you'll love it!

I'm not a big thrill seeker either but I though Space Mountain was great. It wasn't big on the drops or anything like that. Of course I rode this AFTER being dragged on Rock 'N' Roller Coaster by my brother and best friend. It was nothing compared to that. Another ride you might like is Big Thunder. It has some bigger drops than Space Mountain but its a lot of fun!
