I was thinking of doing an all-new incarnation of Space Mountain for the Shanghai Disneyland resort called "Space Mountain: A TASA Adventure." This incarnation is also a tie-in to many science-fiction movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, ET, Jurassic Park, Ironman, Back to the Future, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, The Incredibles, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Wall-E. The plot is that the Tomorrowland Aeronautics & Space Administration (TASA) is on a mission to find the legendary planet Xenat. They have chosen you to send into the final frontier to look for it. To do this, the will put you in colorful rockets that will be suirted out into space via a cannon. Once you are shot out of the cannon, you are taken on a rollercoaster-like ride in space. There is one section pf the ride in the middle where your rocket turns into a dune buggy when it reaches Xenat's surface. This scene looks like an alien version of a mix of New York Cty, Washington DC, Hollywood, Orlando, Philadelphia, Paris, San Francisco, Chicago, London, Rome, Dublin, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Sydney, and Barcelona. After fighting off strange creatures and winding your way through a space battle, you safely return to Earth, or Shanghai Disneyland for that matter.

What do you think?

I like the idea, but the inclusion of ET makes me cringe. I hate the little , and I always will.

I personally dont like it. It seems like a weird mix of a bunch of different SM incarnations. It would just seem awkward seeing a cannon on the outside of(what im assuming is)the dome at all of the SM versions. I dont really get the point of the going on the planet and going through an alien-like earth. I think if there was a planet in the story line, it should be like SM in DLP where you ride past the planet The story line seems pretty good. I like that it gives SM and actual story. I just dont quite see how all those movies that you said would tie into the ride would fit. I personally think that there shouldnt be movie references in the ride. Space Mountain should just be about cruisin' through space :D. I would like to hear more about this though if u have anymore details.

The movie tie-ins would be in a preshow that has a part where TASA explains past partnerships with such organizations as The Imagination Institute, Star Command, Axiom, Jurassic Park, Stark Nuclear, Time Travel Corporation, and others.

Not everything NEEDS a tie in. It can be its own original idea. Im just saying... everything ive seen you do is make something tieing somethng else in (mostly Disney Channel, or movies)...

Why cant it have its own idea??/

That is not the case with everything I do.
