It depends on what they are doing.
I remember when they did a big rehab a few years ago and they kept the Peoplemover/TTA going. You even got to see what Space Mountain looked like with the lights on!

The TTA doesn't even directly pass under the track of Space Mountain, so unless they are putting on a new coat of paint on the inside of the dome, I don't expect them to close the TTA.
Probably not. The audio will still apply after the refurb, so no need to cut it out.

When was this, I dont remember SM closing for a long time a few years ago? And does anyone specifically know when SM will be closing next year? If its anytime during one of my trips I rather cancel then go and find that its closed. Oh yea, and starting next march it will be my 10 yr SM anniversary, I remember the first time I rode SM it was March or April 1998 for spring break, it was one of my first roller coasters and I was scared but came out enjoying it so much.

Well, I really mean about a good 8 or 9 years ago. I remember that Space Mountain was closed for a while and I loved going on the TTA because you could see the entire structure all lit up.
As for the audio on the TTA someone else mentioned, I don't think there would really be a problem. I mean, there hardly is any audio played in that portion of the TTA, except for the background music of course.
I think it will depend on the scope of the refurb. If it is a basic paint everything and fix the broken stuff I doubt it will close. If it is a full gutting and replacement I would think that they would more than likely block the view vs. having two TL rides down at the same time.

Oh ok, that would explain it. I wasnt an avid SM rider back then lol. Do you remember how long it was closed though, like maybe a month or two? If so then which months?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a good couple of months.
I remember when I was younger it felt like forever before it would reopen, though again, I didn't mind seeing it all lit up.
