Space Mountain opening in July?

I know this has been much debated, but I just got my Birnbaum's 2005 guide to DL today, and on page 37, it states that Space Mountain will be returning in July. This is the official guide, so maybe it will open then after all? The light show at night is also confirmed on page 39, so it will happen.

I hope it's true I know I can't wait for it and I definately don't want to miss it on my trip next summer in July (well you know that already :lol: ).

I hope for a july opening, since i will miss the subs by a few years... (gives me an excuse to come back in 5 years... in 2010....)

Bear in mind that plans change, so while that may have been true at printing, it's not set in stone. And it seems that that date changes on a regular basis. That info could be VERY out-of-date. I'm still not believing any date until I hear it from park officials.

Like Kirsten said, I wouldn't get my hopes up to high. I've heard May opening, July and of course November. Anything is poosible at this time.

this is when it opens

its opening on may 5th of 2005! right when all the other rides that are being built or in refurbishment are opeing. i work right next to space mountain i have to know when it opens... haha i have to say that about 500 times a day for the guest to finally figure it out.. haha

Where does this information come from? I know they WANT it done by then, but whether or not it is actually done then is another question.

opening

well being that i work right next to the ride and i see the construction workers all the time i have asked them if they thought it would be opening when they say its supposed to on may 5th, the head guy said that they are right on scheduel for its grand opening once more... and that guest can experience it again on that date.
