space mountain lawsuit

American doctors do very well, I have 2 in my family and they both are wealthy. However, around the world it is a different story,in many places doctors are middle class and it is often much much easier to become a doctor in foreign countries. This guy is South American, he probably is not poor but I bet he is not wealthy by American standards- i.e. lawsuit for the money.:hurl:

Puhleeze!!

As an attorney who does both plaintiff's and defense work in the personal injury field, I can say that Disney will probably settle. But give me a break, there is no way to know if this guy is really that injured. I know tons of doctors who protstitue themselves to say someone is injured, as we are the ones paying them or referring the client to them and thus that person's insurance is paying the bills. On the flip side, we always have doctors who do the opposite, helping us out on our defense cases. Chances are the guy was hit in the head, given that cameras were apparently found below. However, I haven't heard if anyone actually claimed a lost camera that day. But is Disney really liable? Did they violate any standard of care? Space Mountain is so incredibly tame. I never even bother to take my sunglasses off. This ride does not require any netting or lockers. Although obviously disney should now install the lockers.
What I want to know is who are the two morons who let go of their video cameras? For god's sake the thing doesn't even have a real drop.

In response to Darthdarrel:

So his lawyer saids he has an injury so it must be true??!! I wish you could be on one my juries. Listen he could very well be injured, but as the public we will never know the truth either way.

He *was* UNCONSCIOUS at the end of the ride. It's not like 8 months later his neck hurt and he then decides it must have been Space Mountain.

I haven't read this whole thread yet, but there's a simple solution (if it hasn't already been suggested)....

Every guest that rides Space Mountain must get naked.. no carry-ons. Riding int he nude should take care of the falling object problem. :)

I hate to admit it but I’ve been unconscious at the end of many events, but I can assure you it was nothing to do with falling video parts.:)
