I'm not there, so I haven't seen painting going on.
But look at the two spires in the center, and compare to the ribs next to them. Two totally different colors, both getting the same sunlight.
And I asked someone who has indicated that they were painted.
There is also fall safety ropes and flags all around the attached buildings, as visible from the Peoplemover.
You liked that scheme and think blue and green neon would be a good idea....hmmmmI may be the only person who liked the '98 color scheme....
Yay!! Its been looking pretty gnarly esp on the path to Storybrook Circus. This was in Jan:View attachment 90899
Yep.You liked that scheme and think blue and green neon would be a good idea....hmmmm
How about getting the Tokyo Disneyland Space Mountain Lighting package? It is even synchronised to the area BGM.
Like pretty much that whole project: decent idea, horrid execution.I may be the only person who liked the '98 color scheme....
Very true.Like pretty much that whole project: decent idea, horrid execution.
Thanks. That's what I was thinking. You normally prepare the surface first by washing and/or acid wash. That will brighten the surface considerably. They'll most likely do another wash cycle just before painting begins. It has not been repainted...yet. The top of Space Mountain is a different material from the concrete slabs that form the rest of the roof. It has been pressure washed rather recently though. Space may be slated to get a fresh coat of paint in the fall.
It always leaves a nasty soap scum behind. With all the rain in WDW, why not release soap from the top of the building during downpours? Clean Space Mountain!
Baxter blew it too by being stubborn and not changing direction as the situations changed.Very true.
Victim of the budget.
