Space Mountain Goodbye Event

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,

just thought I let you know, that I only minutes ago received word that the Disneyland Resort Paris has organized a fan event free of charge(!) to allow fans to say goodbye to the current "Space Mountain - From the Earth to the Moon"-ride in style before its closure for refurbishment as "Space Mountain : Mission 2".

The event takes place on January 15th and includes a Q&A-session with an Imagineer.

We have published all the lengthy details at http://www.dlp.info/NewsAndRumours/Rumours.shtml ... but as it obviously would be of interest only to those who have planned to travel to DLRP anyway on this date I refrain from posting it all here again.

Yours

This looks great.

I might add, that the event is free of charge, but you must enter the parks by your own means (by buying a ticket or with your annual pass).

Anyway, it's the first time Disney recognizes the fans here in France, and the event looks like it will be a lot of fun!! :sohappy:

It's truely great to see an attraction get proper treatment like this when it is getting ready to be changed. Boy some of us across the pond would have sure apprecaited something of that sort when it came to closing some WDW classics.

I hope the new score is half as good as the original...

But if the updated effects are more reliable than the originals I guess it may be worth it. DLP SM was so cutting edge 8 years ago (was it THAT long?) - lets hope `Nova does it again. Thanks for the info.

Who is the imagineer?

Is it going to be a french one working in DLP

Or are we getting an American imagineer, for example Tim Delaney.

But I've seen in some information that the question will be answered in the language it has been asked in. Does Tim speak any French? Will they let him come over just for this. Or does he stay for a while coordinating SM:M2?
