Lucky Disneyland...Looks like Space Mountain will get a Ghost Galaxy overlay during the month of Halloween...
This is what it says from MiceAge.com

MiceAge's Al Lutz reported in his July 11 Editor's Note that Space Mountain would be closing for two weeks this September to install a new Halloween-themed overlay, similar to Hong Kong Disneyland's Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy

Editor's Note 7/11:
Yes the rumors are true, Team Disney Anaheim approved the money this week for a '09 Halloween overlay for Space Mountain, using much of the equipment installed in '06 for Rockin' Space Mountain. Based on the Ghost Galaxy version of the ride in Hong Kong, this version will now debut at Disneyland on September 25th, after a two week closure. More info to come in the next update. - Al Lutz

Do you think there's a possibility when the refurb is complete and a few years down the road we might see the Ghost Galaxy in SM?

For those in the know...What Is Ghost Galaxy? :veryconfus

And for the record, if it is interesting enough, I vote yes on the possibility. If closed for two weeks, it seems fast.

But people would be more interested in a normal Space Mountain once it opens in Winter 2009 to just enjoy it. :)

If so, maybe next year.

This is from Wikipedia

As part of Hong Kong Disneyland's Haunted Halloween event in 2007, Space Mountain went under a Halloween overlay, similar to Disneyland's Rockin' Space Mountain overlay. The new overlay appiled some of the same effects that Rockin' Space Mountain used, but instead of a rock 'n' roll concert, the ride was themed appropriately to the Halloween season. A new soundtrack was used as well for the overlay

Hope this helps!

It does! It would be pretty awesome to see! However, let's open SM as a normal operation first, and then see if it's possible.

Even if it does take less than two weeks. :lookaroun
