Figures Cal-OSHA would get shutdown happy 2 weeks before I go. I'm not as upset about it, moreso for my family. This will likely be their only trip to DLR ever and of course one of the key attraction experiences I wanted them to have is unavailable.
Isn't Soarin' closed too? Or did I imagine that part?
Really? Does it tend to have fairly short waits over there? Ours is usually at least 40 minutes, usually more. It's closed as well but no one really cares that it's closed.

Guess it's more interesting for us. Ours has the advantage of not being themed to a particular area in the building, so they can probably change it up if we all get sick of it. Plus it's a big ticket attraction. Does yours have the same problem ours has with the film degrading, making the picture awful?Yeah, we're kind of tired of Soarin' Over California over here. There's only so many times you can soar over California, as a Californian living in California.

Hmm. Wonder why that is. Maybe I'll ride it once while I'm out there just to see. I sure have enough time. I'm sure that by Mid-late June when I go it will be back up. If it's not, Houston we have a problem.I wouldn't call that an advantage, LOL.
There are a few specks but apparently it's not as bad as Florida's.
This made me LOL!!
Especially an outdated Christmas without the new lights. It's crazy how the film is over a decade old!Every time a film-based attraction gets built, everyone's like "but they can just change it up so easily!" Which is true...but it never happens. Epcot should have its own Soarin' film, and I really think ours needs a finale reshoot. Why did they choose Christmas?! Bothers me every freakin' time.

Yea, Soarin' Over California opened February 2001. So the scenes themselves are probably somewhere around 13-15 years old(?)Wow...a decade?![]()

Actually the Disneyland footage was filmed just for the attraction, so it's probably not that old. The other scenes were probably filmed at the same time.
