If going on the vacation I am planning for November is half as fun as the planning I am in for a treat.
I have only been to Disney once. It was when I was 18 and still remember the feeling I had walking down Main Street USA for the first time....it was simply magical. I only spent two days there, one in MK and one at MGM. Ten years later the memories have all been swirled together and help build my anticipation for my upcoming trip.
One thing I am most looking forward to is riding Space Mountain for the first time, or should I say for the first time all the way through. During my fist trip I waited in line with my friends, got loaded into my ship and took off into outer space...just like how the ride is supposed to go. We were flying through space, giggling and having an amazing time, when out of nowhere, our ship just stops, dead, in it's tracks. I was terrified, because although I had never been on the ride before, I was pretty sure it did not involve stopping in "mid-space". My fear was that we were the only ones that had stopped and that the ship behind us was going to fly around the corner and smash into us. We sat their for minutes before all of the lights in the mountain starting flickering on. Let me tell you, space mountain with the lights on is not nearly as cool. We had to get out of our cars onto these little platforms, where they loaded us onto an elevator and brought us down and out through the bottom of the building. The ride was broken down for the rest of the day and I never got to go back.
Yep, thats me, the girl who broke space mountain and now I get to go back and ride it, from beginning to end, without stopping in the middle.
