Spa Question

I've noticed there are different spa choices at WDW. I'm wondering if anyone here has a preference for massage? I'm flying in on a red-eye and thought it would be nice to have a relaxing massage on our first day there before hitting the parks. I've made an appointment at Saratoga Springs but started thinking I should have asked you guys first.

My wife used the Grand Floridian Spa on several trips over the years, and loved it. When Saratoga Springs opened, she said she liked it much better (I guess Saratoga Springs was originally built as a Disney Cast Member Club, so the facilities are a little nicer). She said the biggest difference was that at the GF, you have to disrobe in a high school locker room type of atmosphere (one large locker room, with aisles), where at Saratoga Springs, they having individual changing rooms.

Saratoga Springs isn't as spectacular as the Grand Floridian, and they only have a little grab-and-go food court (the Grand Floridian has restaurants), but if you're just looking for the spa treatment, I think Saratoga Springs is the way to go.

Hope that helps...:)

I've heard some bad things very recently about the Mandara Spa at the Swan & Dolphin, so you probably want to avoid that one.

But apart from that, I haven't heard many bad things about any of the spas at the Disney-operated resorts. (They're all managed by the same outside vendor whose name escapes me at the moment). SSR is one of the newest spas, so obviously they learned from their earlier designs.
