Southwest booking

I have been searching for awhile and can't find an answer to my questions. For anyone who has used a Rapid Rewards Award, I need some help. We are planning on going to WDW from 1/4/10 to 1/11/10. I have a free round-trip award to use. We can only book a flight through 1/8/10 right now.

1. Can I use my round-trip award and get two one-way tickets for free instead?

2. Is there anyway to book a Rapid Rewards Award flight with the rest of my group? I don't want to have one confirmation number for me and one for them. That might screw up our check in slot for boarding.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

The Rapid Reward Awards are in two pieces. I'm 99% sure you can use them to book two 1-way flights, if you want/need to. When you use them, they'll appear in your transaction history as using "Coupon A" and "Coupon B" (or something like that). For the definitive answer, I'd call SWA at 800-I-FLY-SWA.

As for booking with other people, I think you have to book the credit on its own, at least online. (Because there's a separate link to follow to book an Award ticket) A phone agent might be able to book it under one reservation number, but you'd probably lose out on any web-only fares for the rest of your group.

I've booked 2 one way flights before using an award.

Award flights must be booked separately. I know it's a pain. I hate it, but since it's a free flight...I find I can deal with it better. :ROFLOL:
