Shoot, in my opinion Doug Live! was better than this, and I didn't even like it nor see it in person!

I'd rather have Honey, I shrunk the Audience replace Sounds Dangerous, then if Captain EO ever needs to be replaced, do a new tribute to Magic Journeys! :sohappy:

I applaud your ability to have opinions on the quality of attractions you've never seen. :sohappy: :lookaroun

Doug Live, of course, was not in the Sounds Dangerous theater, but next door. It replaced Superstar Television for a short time. Replacing SD with HISTA would be quite an undertaking, unless you want it without the special 4-D effects. I just want a return of the original Monster Sound Show.

Personally I think Sounds dangerous has run its course. I would love to see and updated Monster Sound Show, e.g. Phineas and Ferb, replace it.

Then again I hate AI and would love to see and updated Superstar TV replace it as well which of course is not going to happen.

I'm still hoping (with, of course, no basis for such hope) that when AIE inevitably runs its course in 5-7 years, Disney will bring back an all-new updated Superstar Television type show, with some special effects added. Probably a pipe dream, but you never know.

If you have the Disney Channel just but it on any day after about 2pm you'll run into them.

I'm either at work or gaming at that time. And in my opinion, the Disney Channel is now just a channel that produces shows that have nothing to do with Disney or its legacy and just insist on slapping the Disney logo on any garbarge on whatever kids and teens may find or think is cool.

people said this about spongebob and the Simpsons also

Did they? Well having sat through a few episodes of all three quite recently, I'll point out that Fineas and Ferb is not going to have that same staying power. Every episode has the same basic premise, kids build something, platypus has encounter with mad scientist, by the end all is rectified before parents find out. Sorta gets predictable and boring after awhile. Simpsons needs no explaination for it's staying power, and Spongebob also is not saddled with a formula, other than that he has to laugh at some point.

Drew Carey was still pretty gosh darn popular they made the switch. Easier on their part, less wear/tear on the sound props, less staffing, etc. Drew Carey has faded away for the most part, and the show just isn't really that interesting. The Monster Sound Show was just funny. This? Not so much.

I'm gonna stick up for Sounds Dangerous...a little. For me it serves the same purpose as Ellen's Energy Adventure in EPCOT and the TTA in the MK. It's my mid-day chance to catch a quick nap.....

I may agree a little with TTA People Mover... but at least Ellen's Energy Adventure is entertaining in some way as of SD is not. I'd have to say Ellen's Energy Adventure is for the people who either like comedy, Ellen, or are a die hard fan of science

But I love comedy and every time I go on it I catch something new. It's amazing how you can turn Jeapordy into a theme park ride...:lookaroun

1. I have seen it, but not in person.

2. I know it wasn't in the SD theater. I'm just saying that even Doug Live! is better than this ride... like saying even Stitch's Great Escape! is better than SD.

As a parent of a 7 year old and a 1 year old, I can confirm that there is little on the Disney Channel to interest adults of any kind. But my kids both enjoy Disney channel shows, and I'd much rather they watch Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Phineas and Ferb, Little Einsteins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates then some of the other kid's shows around. And of the kid's stuff on the Disney Channel, Phineas and Ferb is by far the most interesting for older folks (i.e., 14 or above).

I haven't watched the Disney channel by my choice more than once or twice since the days when Vault Disney was on late at night.

It's been there for more than 10 years, despite Drew Carey not being at ABC since 2006. It was okay back then, but there has to be a more deserving ABC property for that space.

I think that this is the last time we will ever see it open. It hasn't even been opening for holidays recently, but with the loss of capacity from Star Tours they decided to put a place filler in. I think that once May rolls around, we are just going to have another empty building on our hands.

I am okay with the show, I don't see it everytime I go but I like to watch it every once and a while. I was a huge Drew Carrey Show fan as well as Who's Line (which I still like to watch on ABC Family) so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I do wish they would update the preshow trivia questions. Those are very dated.

Was there really a show at some point? Honestly, this is what happened when we were there:
Kill the lights
Play a VERY short film
Kill all the lights
Listen to scratchy mono soundtrack on stereo headphones
turn on the lights
"thanks for coming"
Leave

Maybe something had broken down? I'm no germaphobe but those 'phones were quite crusty.:veryconfu

It's not great, I have done it a few times and it is just about bearable. I'd rather it stayed open if they were not going to replace it.

This was the "make-out" attraction for everyone when I was in high school. I am shocked they haven't closed it down solely for that reason.... :zipit:
