Sounds Dangerous starring Drew Carrey Disney Studios- What happened?

I have never felt the need to complain about ANY Disney attraction- and I still don't. I have to mention this attraction and some observations: fellow visitors were thoroughly disgusted by this experience. From what I saw, this attraction isn't Six Flags quality, let alone up to Disney standards. Has anyone heard anything regarding this attraction? What did you think when you experienced it?

I thought it was a huge waste of time, and it made me long for the Monster Sound Show.

Suffice to say that it is a much-maligned (deservingly-so, in my opinion) attraction. I haven't read any rumors as to what might replace it.

well judging by the queue we should have just walked away. there were about 10 people in the auditorium. the CM who introduced the show looked and sounded thoroughly bored.
i thought it was a thorough waste of time. i get what they are trying to do, and trying to get you to appreciate the sound effects guys, but seriously, they could have done it so much better.
comign from the UK too, i don't know who drew carey is!
i felt like i had wasted a good 10 minutes of my disney trip, which was sad. i've heard that the attraction doesn't open very often, and i hope they don't keep it open for much longer, and stop subjecting people to this attraction.

If Phineas and Ferb had the legs to be relevant in five years, I'd say sure, but I don't have that magnitude of faith.

I actually enjoyed the show, sure it wasn't one of the highlights of WDW but I wouldn't rate it below 6 six flags...

They also said it about every other Disney cartoon that is completely irrelevant now. Can't really pick 2 cartoons out of hundreds (that aren't even Disney made) and use it as an example :lol:

Shoot, in my opinion Doug Live! was better than this, and I didn't even like it nor see it in person!


I'd rather have Honey, I shrunk the Audience replace Sounds Dangerous, then if Captain EO ever needs to be replaced, do a new tribute to Magic Journeys! :sohappy:

This is a pretty funny (harshly honest) review of Sounds Dangerous.

Luckily, we have always bypassed this attraction whenever we visit DHS. Not that I have anything against Drew Carrey. But after hearing enough horrible reviews of this thing...better safe than sorry.

I think the attraction matches the original intention of D-MGM Studios, which was to showcase the various parts of the moviemaking process, and Sounds Dangerous dealt with sound effects and surround sound. But now that the theme of the park has shifted, I agree that the attraction is now rather subpar.

We've always enjoyed this attraction, although we did skip it this year this year and went to see Idol instead.

Personally I think Sounds dangerous has run its course. I would love to see and updated Monster Sound Show, e.g. Phineas and Ferb, replace it.

Then again I hate AI and would love to see and updated Superstar TV replace it as well which of course is not going to happen.

I'm gonna stick up for Sounds Dangerous...a little. For me it serves the same purpose as Ellen's Energy Adventure in EPCOT and the TTA in the MK. It's my mid-day chance to catch a quick nap.....:lol:
