For all of you out there that have read my posts and helped with planning this vacation, (our first as a family) to WDW> Thank you. I just wanted to share. I just got my mother, who lives in Florida to come up to Orlando and visit us while we are there at the WL. The best part she is staying off site at a very nice condo where we can stay for 4 extra days.....

WOOOOHOOOOO.
Now I don't have to try and get everything into 6 full days.

Just one question......I currently have a 7 MYW pass plus Dining can I bump that pass up to 10 days?

I believe you cannot (add dining) because you are not staying on property for the last four. It's cheaper to get longer passes. You can always keep the 7 and get a 4 day pass but that might run you more.

Congratulations!

I have followed your planning and I am glad you are getting extra days. To answer your question, yes. You can add the additional three days onto your tickets at anytime during your stay up to 14 days after the first use. The Disney Dining Plan will not be available except for the time you are at WL, but the DDP does not affect the ability to add days to your admission media.

Have a great time!

have fun
that is so awesome
however the dinning plan is only valid while you are staying on propery at a disney owned hotel
also you can extend your ticket. at the amount you are staying i think it might be cheaper to do the annual pass

Looks like you are going to have some extra fun! :sohappy:
Your question has already been answered, but I just wanted to add that should your mom decide to hang out at WDW with you for the day she can park at the WL. Just let the front desk know you are expecting a guest. If she wants to go to the park you can get a pass for her there as well.

Last time I looked, an Annual Pass would cost more than a 10 day ticket with Park Hopper option.

Where an Annual Pass pays off is if you expect to return to WDW within a year.

You will have to do the math and see if an annual pass is cheaper, but don't forget to add the discounts for annual passes. Like free parking discounts and so on. It may be worth to buy just one annual pass and then 10 day hoppers for the rest of your party. By getting at least 1 annual pass you will get to park at the parks free when your at your moms condo. Just sharing some thoughts. I know for us, an annual pass was cheaper than a 10 day hopper, but we are DVC members and get a discount on annuals. If nothing else have your mom get the annual, since she is a florida resident theres a pretty good discount for them.

How much is it?
It ends up being about $100 more for AP. We were trying to figure out a few months ago which would be better for us because we had planned on 7 days in August and 3 days in December. We decided that if we did the AP it gave us more freedom in December. We are traveling Mon-Sun we had first thought that we would just goto parks Tues, Wed, & Sat and spend the rest of the days resort hopping and MVMCP. By getting AP we spend $100 and have total freedom to come and go to the parks as we decide. We can hop over to MK for a few things every day if we wanted.

Unless you think you might go back within the year it may not be beneficial for you to get AP. But only you can decide that.

BTW Congrats on the extra days, you'll be surprised by how many more things you're able to see.

You need to buy the DDE card first - $60.00. Make sure you're going to use it enough. We've never managed it because we've stayed during free dining that last 3 years. The year before though, we used it quite a bit - don't know that it added up to the cost, however, I know a lot of members on here use it and love it. It IS nice for drinks:slurp:

P.S. 18% gratuity is also added automatically on any purchases with your DDE card now.
