Disney resort prices are divided up into seasons based on expected occupancy. The lower the expected occupancy the lower the rate. The week prior to the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend is considered regular season and the values will go for $105/night. Starting on that Thursday the rate will jump up just shy of 10% to $115/ night. Starting the following Monday it will switch yet again to Value season and a value room will drop all the way down to $85/ night.

While Thanksgiving is a long Holiday weekend people do not seem to travel to Disney as much as say presidents day weekend or Christmas week.

Thanks!! I was just wondering because it seems that it would be extremely busy that week. has anyone had any experiences with the crowds for that week? when will it begin to get really crowded??

It will be busy but not crazy busy like 4th of July or Christmas week. Phased closures can happen but are not common during that weekend. You will want to get to the parks at least half an hour before opening and use fast pass as much as you can.

A couple of years ago my sister-in-law went with her family and they said it was extremely busy that week especially starting the Wednesday of that week.

Our family went during Thanksgiving week in 2003 and it wasn't too bad. It got busier as the week went on with Thanksgiving day being pretty packed, but the day after was dead . The weather was beautiful - we spent some time at the pool on Thanksgiving day to avoid the crowds.

All of the restaurants will offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal. If that is important to your family, call NOW to make an ADR.
