I just saw this online:

Do we think that it is bogus?
Note the "Disney DVD" symbol on the inside. Could be shopped.
It doesn't say anything about a hologram, nor do I see one.
The ticket on the front says "MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR" then a Disney Store Logo, then "DISNEYLAND PARIS" and has a UPC code, then "Walt Disney Classics Song Of The South - English Version Region Code US Canada", then it has the price in Canadian and US $.

Now, the first thing I thought was, if it is supposed to be for the Disney Store in DLP, why is the price in US and Canadian $, instead of Euros?

I would say it has to be bogus. The quality of that cover is pretty bad. Certainly not professional quality. Also it looks like the prices are incorrect. It is showing $32 Canadian and $37 American.

If it was made "Exclusively for Disneyland Paris" why would the region code be US/Canada ?

Oh, I can totally understand the region code thing. When I was at Uni LA a few years ago, they would sell you the videos for the shows you did or the blue-screen stuff in any format you wanted. Someone who did the Star Trek thing with us wanted PAL VHS, and got it, e.g., but why the currency discrepancy? That's the rub.

There is no official DVD release of this movie. They are all bootlegs. This particular version is a low-quality NTSC conversion of the PAL VHS tape that is available in the UK. There are other versions that have been made from the Hong Kong Laserdisc, some of which have subtitles during the songs (as there are 2 versions of the laserdisc, one with subtitles, one without).

I've seen that version. It's great and the subtitles are not distracting at all. Makes me wish they would go ahead and just release the movie legitimately on DVD here. It's actually a very good film, and is nowhere near as "politically incorrect" as it's been made out to be.

I would highly advise just finding this online and downloading it. Yes, Disney holds the copyright and could pursue you if they had a mind too. But as long as it is unavailable, eh...

This is NOT something wdwmagic would suggest you do, and is strictly the opinion of the poster.
