Something that really bothered me

if I encounter really unruly kids anywhere and the parents don't care and let them continue I let the parents know how useless they are and then tell the kids (if young enough) that there is no Santa claus.:)

I would have been livid if the parents responded to their kids' awful behavior which such a pathetic reply. I probably would have been so angry that I never would have been able to articulate saying something like "well, now I see where your little beasts learned to behave like a bunch of low lifes." OK- in reality if I were really saying it there would be a lot of cursing in there, but you get the point. Sometimes I let the Jersey girl come out in me a little too much when I get angry about this kind of stuff- i.e. DH fears I might get hit. :zipit: Saying things like "Oh- so you want to meet my attorney and pay me for your stupidity" probably doesn't help.

If I were the family of the elderly woman, I definitely would have pursued it and had security involved- at the very least.

The sad thing is- these people are everywhere and seem to be multiplying faster than the kind and courteous people of this world. Issues like this, all of the tour group rude kids, and the stories about the Pop Warner kids really has me nervous now about my trip. I now have this fear in the back of my mind that a sea of rude people are going to destroy our fun.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
And you are the kind of young man I want my boys to have for a friend. Sadly, we've not found much of that around here.

I'll never forget when my sons were 9 & 10 we were checking out at a Target store when 2 other little boys came charging towards us. One tackled the other and they were right there at our feet rolling around laughing & wrestling. My kids stood there & stared as if they were from some other planet. When we got out the door my oldest said, "there's something wrong with those boys.". Lol! We had a nice conversation about all the reasons what those kids did was unacceptable. Both my boys agreed if they did that they'd be dead on the spot. Lol!

Yeah, but since I just moved (still a south-carolinian! w00t!), I barely have any friends becaus i'm homeschooled and i'm always at least 3 hours away from my house (www.baillieplayers.com), and frankly i can get temper problems very easily over online when people start to make me mad, lol! :lookaroun

But Disney is my hobby :]

When people act like that there's no joke everyones going to get dragged down with them. I was on Splash Mountain with my friend and the kids in front of us were jumping out of their boats walking on the sides, jumping into ours and back and no joke they had the ride stop were called out on the loudspeaker. Me and my buddy in the back had our shirts off so we wouldn't have the cold wet fabric sticking to us, we were yelling at them to shut up and the girls on our boat were cheering them on so all that put together of course gets everyone in trouble. We were called out to and got a word for nothing. The shirts I understand but it was a 60-70 degree night so we took our chances. I should of pushed the kid out and let him get scooped up out of one of the sets by security.

I had no idea there were people who are actually THAT stupid - who actually got OUT of rides like Splash. I know years ago a kid was killed because he stood up in the log, fell out backwards and the next one hit him in the head, killing him. Natural selection working as it should, in my opinion.

Kids like the ones you described should have lifetime bans, and be strung up by their toenails. Not only do they put themselves in danger, but they put others in danger AND ruin the ride for everyone around them.

I'm glad the story about kids going up on CoP stage was fake....because that one made me fume.

Manners are a thing of the past. We are in the Information Age, where computers are the main method of communication. We have Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Skype, and even this very website. Get modernized, ErickainPA.

OK so who wants to explain to me why twitter means there are no more manners in the world? I don't see how one thing has anything to do with the other...

I agree!! Leave 'em alone. In the future, the economy will sort them out. :drevil:

As horrible and offending as it sounds it can happen. They wont get good paying jobs with those behaviors.

Where I live there are 2 classes... middle class ( thats me ) and the rich ones with money flying out of their rears. Not the sad part is these kids are so neglected they dont know right from wrong. We got scum who are also influenced by the troubled town only 2 miles from where we live and it leaks into our community. Now I dont fight nor do I like to be at bad terms with people. I have came across situations where I am minding my own busyness and someone has to stir things up. Now these are people I dont know and this happened out of school. I found myself defending myself a couple of times and of course I got in trouble. I couldn't stop them and I wasn't going to stay still and get beaten like an old broom and I couldn't walk away without getting smacked around. I am 6/2 200 pounds and mostly muscle and active outdoors 12 hours a day so imagine what kind of fight I gave them, no blood or bad wounds and a good shaking up. Of course as bad as they were and as much as I tried to limit how hard I fought back I still got it. Of course I almost get in trouble and threatened to suspenchion and the big tough crybaby gets away. These jerks look invincible but they can cry harder than they look. Now like I said I am slow going and wouldn't hurt a flee so for me to have to fight is the last thing I would want to do. Now these kids are a quarter of my town, they are so hated but still they are still like little ticks. Showing up at clean trouble free parties and causing the cops to come and end it. I wish they would be taken away once and for all. They are so loud and kill all the fun.

Stupid crappy parents!

I don't know what, if anything, this might do, but you might have been able to ask a CM to call somebody from guest relations/security to come to the line for that ride. That way, maybe they'd escort the kid and his crappy parents out of the park. If you went to guest relations to complain, that wouldn't do much because you'd have no way of pointing out who was at fault. At the very least, maybe they'd give the lady and her grandkids some sort of perk for what just happened to them.
