Rumor Something happening at the Studios?

This could be true. I find it interesting because this short term add seems like something unheard of. I guess it could be the mermaid show returning as that's technically adding back capacity that's been missing for years but that feels a bit incongruent with this idea of monsters or potentially something more substantial coming to Animation Courtyard down the line. And there's no need to talk about that as if it were a rumor since it's been officially announced.

There were pre-pandemic talks of show replacements in the BatB and Indy theatres but if revived those wouldn't be new capacity, just replacements. My gut thinks this means a ride of some kind, I just have no idea what or where.
Theatre of The Stars is simply not built to be able to have a show that is any more technically complex than what is already there, at least in its current configuration. There's a reason why the current tenant has stayed as long as it has, and it is because it is one of these simplest shows, technically speaking, Disney could possibly put on without going back to a Kids of the Kingdom style show, which could possibly happen if they ever wanted to abandon a specific IP tiein. Very little space for storage from what I've been told. Indy? You could bulldoze that place and build a mini-land.

From the other thread that may be relevant to this one.
What are the options, assuming we’e not getting a brand new fancy ride?

Star Tours overlay. I doubt they would, since that’s essentially what the Universal ride is. (I wish Universal would bring back Back to the Future but I digress).

Bart and Lisa’s Dance Party? 😎

Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster featuring the Simpsons? 🫣

If it is the Simpsons it has to be something new, surely? There aren’t many other options available.

Sell off all the fox animation IPs and use the $$ to build something with an IP that actually feels like “Disney”.

It sounds like something quick and simple to put up. (Less than a year)

If it were something similar to RAT or TRON you’re looking at 3-4 years at least.

If they want room they have it with the launch bay and former animation building and parking deck. I don’t think it’s being used and even if it is, office space is easy to relocate.

I still don’t think they have enough money to do anything substantial, and $30M gets you diddly squat for a brand new C,D, or E ticket.

Since the rumor is something quick and easy, my first guess would just be exactly what The Magic of Disney Animation was (minus the animators). They could throw together an exhibit about the Simpsons, something to put in the theater, and a meet & greet.

The Racing Academy seems like something that never really took off, $30M could go a long way to bring something better there… Bluey?
No one even recalls of the very short lived Bluey Scavenger Hunt at Ft Wilderness that came last November and disappeared with a blink of an eye..
While Disney has International Rights to air the show I'm sure Ludo sent them a Ceast and Desist to not be using their characters in their parks or Resorts until some agreement went through...But, articles state they were just "suspended" for unknown reasons...🤔

Bluey is one of the most lucrative IPs Disney might have access to (its probably some signatures away) and it's boggling to see them basically refuse to sign paperwork regarding getting that brand in the parks

I think it's taking the same route how Peppa Pig's popularity made a small park outside by Legoland and has many different attractions with the characters as they did announce a small park being built in Australia..It wouldn't be too long if they eventually bring something over with the Heelers in the same idea..

The Disney Junior show is popular enough and fills a good enough pocket in the park it will never go away, but if they wanted to start razing that area it should be cheap and quick to move it. If they start today could probably get the box built and opened by 2030.
