Buccaneer Bay

Adventurers, innovators, princesses, magicians, pioneers, cowboys and of course pirates. Some of the dreams that many children have when they think of extraordinary experiences. In the past few decades we have seen a big boost when it comes to the popularity of pirates, especially with the release of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. That’s why I felt that this group of characters deserves an area of its’ own, especially after experiencing Treasure Cove at Shanghai Disneyland myself. Buccaneer Bay is where Guests are immersed into the exciting and iconic world of the characters of the classic fan favorite attraction as well as the popular film franchise. Become part of the crew and venture the Seas yourself or wander around this quaint seaside town where you can dine, shop, enjoy quality entertainment and experience two state-of-the-art rides.
Past the gate with red and black glowing roots, Guests will find a bridge. Instead of welcoming you to Buccaneer Bay, the signs here read ‘’Warning, sea robbers’’, ‘’turn around now’’, ‘’Pirates only’’, ‘’you are headed to Buccaneer Bay’’ and such. A blue lagoon, surrounded by tropical plant life and cliffs is what Guests see when they pass over the bridge, leading into the land. In the back, you may notice there is a small town, which seems quiet and peaceful from afar. The closer you get, the clearer the real situation gets however. This is no ordinary town, this is where real pirates meet.
Buccaneer Bay will consist of a seaside town with a combination of British, Caribbean, Spanish and Portuguese influences in which sea robbers have taken control and moor their ships to relax on land, grab some food and a beer and party with fellow pirates. Behind the town lay high rocks and cliffs, which sort of enclose the town as well and hide it away from the rest of the world. This is a pirates-only zone! That’s why you and your party members decide to head to the A Pirate’s Life For Me experience. This will be a boutique similar to the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique, where Guests can receive a real pirate make-over. What I imagine to be really cool for this land, is for it to be as immersive as Star Wars ~ Galaxy’s Edge is going to be. That means that there will be special Guest experiences with audio animatronic and cast member characters that are saved on to your magic band and determine your experience here. This will be omnipresent in Walt Disneyland Park, but will be stronger in areas like Buccaneer Bay where the world of one franchise is used instead of possibly multiple in one land.
As a smaller, yet still entertaining adventure, there is Treasure Isle. Family fun ahoy! Pluck up the courage to explore this mysterious land and see if you can uncover the secrets behind the many hidden treasures on the island. This island will be similar to experiences like Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland and Adventure Isle at Disneyland Resort Paris. Get your little treasure hunters ready for a trek they’ll never forget. From the eerie gloom of Dead Man’s Rock to the stunning landscape of Spyglass Hill, there are secrets and stories to uncover at every turn.
At Treasure Isle keep a watchful eye on what’s ahead as danger lurks beneath crisscrossing suspension bridges, beside narrow pathways and within spooky caves. Follow the hints on the treasure maps and decipher the mind-boggling smuggles’ runs rewards you with spectacular daytime views of the whole land. And after nightfall, hanging lanterns supply an altogether different feel. On the island, you might notice that extinct and once planned scenes for the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions are given life here, e.g. the ghost pirates playing chess. Completely new areas will be areas like Shark bait bridge, where you cross the water on a water barge bridge around which you can see audio animatronic shark fins.
In the seaside town, be sure to visit the Tortuga Tavern. This is the town’s biggest cantina. Dine like a real pirate and see the many stolen goods and character portraits. Maybe, you’ll even dine next to a few members of the crew. Nearby is the Mercado, Buccaneer Bay’s largest store. Here you can find everything you need to become a real pirate. Redd’s Wardrobe will be a clothing store, based on the popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction character, Redd. She will also be a meet and greet character, together with many other familiar characters from the attraction. Pintel and Ragetti’s Grub to Grab is an easy quick service restaurant selling British and American meals. Sea Robber’s Auction will be based on the original attraction auction scene. It will now be a small shop where you can find various Buccaneer Bay souvenirs. At the edge of the town is Calypso’s Corner, a small shop owned by the voodoo queen from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Near the docks, you will find The Snacking Siren, a quick service restaurant selling fish meals, like fish and chips. The Wicked Wench Booty will be another shop inside one of the docked pirate ships. The rest of the docks will be part of the walkthrough experience of the area. Explore, splash and frolic in an amazing interactive play park built in the wrecks of pirate galleons. Step aboard famous pirate ships like the Siren’s Revenge and the Queen Anne’s Revenge. Discover a boatload of rowdy pirate fun and some raucous pirate activities aboard these authentic ships. These experiences will be quite similar to the Siren’s Revenge at Shanghai Disneyland.
In the lagoon you notice small ships battling each other. This will be part of The Battle for the Sunken Treasure attraction. Step aboard of your very own pirate vessel and try to be the first one to find the sunken treasure of Davy Jones. This attraction will be a combination of multiple ride systems. Guests are armed with cannons on the pirate vessel. The ride features indoor and outdoor scenes. The indoor scenes will mainly consist out of screen projected scenes in which Guest use their cannons to shoot large pirate vessels or sea monsters. This part of the attraction will be similar to the extinct DisneyQuest attraction, Battle for the Buccaneer Gold but with better quality of course and without the glasses. The outdoor scenes however will change into a splash battle attraction in which you aim for other pirate vessels or for specific targets which activate splash elements and audio animatronic scenes. The outdoor scenes will also sent Guests into a trackless arena with various paths. This will be similar to Aquatopia at Tokyo DisneySEA If you don’t want to ride the attraction, you can splash riders on the docks by activating the cannons or other splash elements.
dd1e91065a2bf261e1a065ed8278448d.jpg
Inside the Teatro di Neptuno, you can find the park’s largest live actor stunt show, Captain Jack’s Voyage for the Uncharted Lagoons. This will be an indoor stunt show on the scale of Fantasmic and based on the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. It features Captain Jack and his crew on an adventure to the Uncharted Lagoon to find the Golden Grail. However, he is not the only one to look for this treasure. The show features water, fire, projection, smoke, wind and firework effects accompanied by moving show sets, audio animatronic puppets and real cruising pirate ships and rafts. The climax of the show features the legendary Sea Serpent, guarding the Golden Grail. Other highlights are the fight scenes and some stunts which are adopted from the Eye of the Storm stunt show at Shanghai Disneyland.
Buccaneer Bay’s most popular restaurant will be Captain Jack’s. This sit-down table service restaurant will be similar to the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland, Barbossa’s Bounty at Shanghai Disneyland and Captain Jack’s at Disneyland Resort Paris. Passing by dining Guests are the boats from the area’s highlight attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean~ Legends of the Seven Seas. Join Captain Jack’s swashbuckling band of buccaneers for a monster-meeting, treasure-seeking, high-seas adventure. This attraction will be quite similar to the ride at Shanghai Disneyland, but will be longer, features more physical characters and a large drop down Dead Man’s Cliff into Shipwreck Shore. Cross paths with an army of undead pirates, mermaids, sharks, the kraken, other pirates and monster storms. It is sure to be an adventure you will never forget!

It’s been a while again, but I’m just taking my time on this and I was travelling through Portugal and Hungary so that’s why there was a little delay, sorry about that (although I’m not even sure how interested people are in the concept, anyways :p)Small plot twist, I’d like to save Fantasyland for last so that’s why we’re moving over to the east side.

Frontierland

1534450998895.png

At the bottom right of the park, past a gate covered in brown and orange glowing roots leads to the land of the Wild Frontier, Frontierland. Over the bridge you will find a classic wild western fort. A wooden sign reads ‘’Welcome to Frontierland’’. It is here that we experience the story of the American past. The color, romance and drama of frontier America as it developed from wilderness trails to roads, riverboats, railroads and civilization. A tribute to the faith, courage and ingenuity of our hearty pioneers who blaze the trails and made this progress possible. It is inspired by the many tall tales of the Wild West that have shaped the pride and identity of many Americans. It brings the same old-time sights and sounds of America’s Old West. Just like the old Walt Disney’s Disneyland tv show, Frontierland is where Davy Crockett and other pioneers of the Old West, and American history in general appear.
1534451024057.png

Frontierland is where Guests are welcomed to Goldtooth Creek, a small town in the Old West setting. Haunted by the craze for gold, the citizens of Thunder Mesa have always been quite adventurous and determined to do whatever they need to do to find the hidden gold. Barnabas T. Bullion is one of these determined citizens. He set up a mining company and set up different missions in the towns of Tumbleweed, Rainbow Ridge, Stillwater Junction, Grizzly Gulch, Goldtooth Creek and after the Ravenswood family tragedy, finally in Thunder Mesa. Past the river, lies an island. Many legends and tall tales speak of this island as the home to the mythological Thunderbird, who lays golden eggs. Bullion ignored the warnings of natives, roaming these lands and set up an expedition to the island. However, as soon as the miners arrived on the island, the ground started shaking and dark clouds came rolling from the skies. Many of the men were never seen again and are believed to still haunt the gold mines on the island. Bullion never stopped hoping to one day reach the island and take its’ riches successfully. The Goldtooths were not pleased and closed the mine to the island. Bullion was forced to look for new mines, but the town was forever scarred.

1534451134183.png

Goldtooth Creek will be similar to the towns found at Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland, but will have more depth, more walking trails and hidden paths. It is here that you will find many shops and restaurants. The town’s most popular place to dine will be The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon. Mosey inside this Old West music hall for an all-you-care to enjoy meal, featuring Frontier favorites your whole posse will love! Be entertained by the saloon’s musical revue which features comedians, can can dancers and many more. Another place for Goldtooths to meet is the Goldtooth Tavern, a cozy quick service restaurant where you can sit near the fire place or take a look at the old tapestries and paintings, revealing parts of the history of Thunder Mesa.

1534451182937.png

The town area has three shops. One of them is the Blacksmith shop. This is where you can find many Frontierland souvenirs, of which many are made out of iron or steel and can be designed by Guests themselves, e.g. signs with their names on it. Another shop is the Pendleton Dry Woolen Mills Goods Store, which sells Frontierland souvenir clothing. Lastly, the Malt Shop and Cone shop will be present and sells other desired products. On the streets you might find a small wagon which belongs to Professor N. Clement. Professor N. Clement’s Extraordinary Elixirs sells mysterious drinks, bubbling, brewing, smoking. Try out the Thunder Elixir, the Professor’s most popular elixir. Around the town, Guests will witness different kinds of small shows from time to time, like a bank robbery, a duel or a saloon fight. The Pecos Bill Tall Tale Grill is where the legends of this American hero are retold all while Guests can enjoy real American dishes and BBQ meals. Near the river, Guests can find a small wooden cabin. Inside you can enjoy fish dishes at Catfish Joe’s Bait and Tackle. Speaking of the river, at the Goldtooth Creek Riverboat Landing, Guests can board one of the two Western River Line Steamboats. The Western River Line offers frequent passengers and freight service by steamboat connecting Goldtooth Creek, Thunder Mesa, Rainbow Ridge, Tumbleweed, Stillwater Junction and Grizzly Gulch (and thus connecting all Frontierlands) with all points on the River of the Far West. Cruise the scenic Rivers of America aboard the steamliners and take a gander at life in the U.S. over a year ago. Along the way Guests can see beautiful natural scenes, native American villages, Thunderhawk hills, audio animatronic scenes (including scenes from the Mine Train Thru Nature’s Wonderland(the beaver dam, Bear Country etc.) and extinct Rivers of America scenes(the bear running on top of a rock, the dueling deer etc.)) and even some geysers.

1534451398153.png

Geyser Gulch is uncharted land for the Goldtooths. However, despair drove the locals to look for Gold in these risky rock ridges. Bullion is looking for daring new miners to board his advanced mine carts and venture into the depths of the Geyser Gulch. During the ride Guests find a hidden Crystal cavern, but not much later they’ll find themselves trapped as a monster geyser, known as the Ole’ Unfaithful is about to erupt, causing chaos and disaster. Geyser Peak will be a combination of a rollercoaster ride (without inversions) and the Tower of Terror drop system, but with various drop scenes. Hidden just outside Thunder Mesa, is the Mile Long Bar. This saloon like building is a local hidden treasure for outlaws. This western country bar offers snacks, drinks and comfort food. The bar will have mirrored walls on either side so it looks like the countertop stretched for a mile.
1534451538702.png

Back in town, a large prestigious building invites daring miners on another mission, now that Bullion is able to reassure a save journey to Thunderhawk Hills, after fixing some ‘’flaws’’. This is where Guests are welcomed to board a steamtrain and race over the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Hold tight, as this runaway mine train rattles you and your party wildly around a cursed mountain on a randomized track. That’s right, a randomized track! This won’t be the classic attraction as you know it. In this version of the attraction, the track features four brake runs, where a switch track will redirect the trains on different paths. This means we have a lot of possibilities for Guests to re-ride this attraction. During the ride you will escape the Thunderhawk itself, ghost miners, wild animals, activated explosives and falling rocks.
1534451602156.png

Then we reach a more forested area, almost a pinewood valley like area, in which the mountains and the peaceful streams lead us to the rest of Frontierland. On the edge of the town and the woods, The Chicken Plantation offers Guests fried chicken menus and meals on a farm. Near the water side, Guests can find a wooden dock. This is where you can step aboard one of Huckleberry Finn’s River Rafts to find some fish and spin along the riverside as the current takes control of your raft. This attraction will be similar to Aquatopia, found at Tokyo DisneySEA, but of course in a different style. Huckleberry’s Hideaway is a small shop selling Huckleberry Finn souvenirs. Not too far away, Aunt Peggie’s Kitchen, a cozy restaurant making you feel right at home and serving the all-American familiar dishes.
1534451781338.png

A wooden fortress in the woods is the entrance to one of Frontierland’s most popular attractions, Davy Crockett: Adventure into the Wild Frontier! Go on an adventure with one of the Wild Frontier’s greatest heroes (if not the greatest!) on a classic stage wagon ride. This attraction would be an indoor/outdoor dark ride in which Guests board stage wagon vehicles which adopt the enhanced motion vehicle system from Indiana Jones Adventure (Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySEA) and Dinosaur! (Disney’s Animal Kingdom). The ride features physical as well as screen effects and is sure to be as popular as classic Disney attractions. If Disney ever decides to revamp the Davy Crockett franchise by producing new movies, this attraction could have a strong fan base, similar to the Pirates of the Caribbean attractions. Near the exit, the Fort Wilderness Trading Post sells Davy Crockett merchandise.
1534452206325.png

The last attraction in Frontierland will be another big one and also a familiar one. In the rocky caves of the mountains near the river you find the entrance to the Western River Expedition attraction. Follow the inhabitants of Goldtooth Creek on their quest for Gold, but beware of the obstacles along the way. Due to the lack of a classic Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the Western River Expedition ride fills up this gap and serves as the Frontierland version of this classic ride. It was once planned for Walt Disney World and is based on the American Gold Rush. The ride features show scenes built up similarly to the classic Pirates attraction and even features songs. During the ride you will pass by peaceful scenes in the wilderness, encounter robbing banditos, party along the Thunder Mesans and even witness a Native American rain dance. The Golden Oak Outpost will be the attractions' souvenir shop, while the nearby Lonesome Cowboy Cookout offers Frontierland favorites in an outlaw camp and shed environment.

In the Parks
Yes
Was actually thinking of a name myself, but honestly i dont feel like i have the creative capabilities to think of something and i also just wanted this park to somehow be nostalgic, a name change is of course not off the table yet.
Names are always my weak point too lol. Can never come up with good ones

Phenomenal park by the way! Really love it!!

Bog Easy

1534589379382.png

A gate covered in dark green and dark purple vines opens up a path to Bog Easy. This land will be on the extension of the Rivers of America. This dark bayou became home to various American, Caribbean and European citizens. Bog Easy was once a flourishing town in which the ideal of a melting pot culture became reality as people of different backgrounds shared their ideas and thoughts. It was a careless time for the town until more mysterious events started to happen. Dark magic was brewing and voodoo scared off many people. Also, the mysterious events at the Gracey Mansion scarred the town’s happy character. Joyful critters, happy haunts and voodoo boogies, Bog Easy is despite her dark sides always moving forward and never boring.
1534589807471.png
This swamptown is styled after New Orleans architecture and is surrounded by a bayou. Wander the charming streets of this town, celebrate with its inhabitants and learn more about its dark history. The most important and evident building in Bog Easy is the Gracey Estate, known for its tragedies and ghost stories. Edward Gracey, who constructed the mansion cruelly murdered a native tribe and its chief, who then cursed the land where he decided to build his future estate. After three generations of Gracey inhabitated the house, but all mysteriously died, other residents outside the family line tried to inhabite the house, like Constance Hatchaway (who killed 7 men, including two of the Graceys (one of who she married and the other in ghost form) and Madame Leota), Captain Culpepper Clyne (allergic to dirt so he’s pickled in brine, he braved the sea and all her wrath, but drowned on land while taking a bath), Bertie Venture (avid hunter and expert shot, in the end that’s what he got), Harriet Svensson (searched for a tune, but never could carry it) and Sally Slater (a tightrope walker) . In the end, 999 people have died on property and all are rumored to still roam the halls and grounds of the manor, but there’s always room for more. It is now a popular tourist destination and a legendary location for locals. Inside the building, Guests are able to embark on a spine-tingling tour through this eerie Haunted Mansion, home to ghosts, ghouls and supernatural surprises aboard their very own doom buggie. However, this won’t be the ride as you know it. Instead of it being an omnimover dark ride, this version will be trackless and features many projected and screen effects.
1534589982168.png
It will be quite similar to the once planned version of the attraction where Guests were to wear augmented reality goggles, but this version of the attraction won’t feature the goggles. The vehicles first move along an introduction scene, but are then left for a supernatural surprise. Instead of having various tracks like Mystic Manor and Ratatouille the Ride have, this attraction will have a ghost tracker screen provided in every doom buggie on which they can find a map of the mansion. By tapping on the screens, Guests are able to choose which rooms they would like to see. Examples of these rooms are The Kitchen, The Bathroom, The Attic, The Ballroom, The Greenhouse, The Trophy Room and The Master Bedroom. The ride also features transitional scenes from one room to another, so as Guests move from for example The Kitchen to the Trophy Room, they will move past some happy haunts in the hallway or on the staircase. The attraction will also have multiple levels, therefore making it the first ever multi-level trackless dark ride. The final scene will have the vehicles join the haunts in a spooky boogie in the graveyard, where grim griming ghost materialize and begin to vocalize (also, I actually imagine the singing busts to be more like the ones seen in the Haunted Mansion movie instead of the original face-projected busts). This is how this version gives Guests a chance to control their own experience of the attraction and gives them a chance to keep re-riding and seeing new things.
1534589910303.png
Not too far from the house, Guests can find a small shop. Outside stands a rundown gypsy cart reading ‘Memento Mori’. Inside you will find the mystic collection of deceased Madame Leota. From here we will wind along the narrow streets of Bog Easy and find that there are many small shops and restaurants. Near the river you will find the Blue Bayou Restaurant, which features a terrace looking over the swampland and passing by riverboats. The scenery and the soundtrack of the restaurant will be inspired by the Blue Bayou Segment in Make Mine Music. Speaking off the Riverboat. The Bog Easy Steamboat Landing is where Guests are able to board the Riverboat and cruise the scenic bayous of Bog Easy aboard a classic river steamliner and take gander at the life in the Southern swamps. Even though the river is connected to the rivers of Frontierland, this riverboat passes by different scenes than the Western River Line. Take home of that Bog Easy magiue and mystique. Le Chapeau offers exceptional hats and clothing items. For something a bit more chique, go to Le Bat en Rouge where you can find your desired Bog Easy souvenirs. All this adventure is bound to make a person mighty hungry. When it does, just visit one of many other delicious restaurants with food inspired by la belle Louisiana herself. Try the jambalaya at the French Market Restaurant or the cuisine of the elegant Sassagoula Floatyard where you dine amongst beautifully decorated Mardi Gras floats. To chase away the heat, drop on by Café Lafitte for a satisfying sit-down meal and learn more about the famed Jean Lafitte or venture to the Scat Cat’s Club, where you can sway to a jazzy tune. If you’d like to surprise your taste buds, visit Voodoo Cuisine. Here you can try some French, Creole, Cajun and American specialties.
1534590173923.png
Also nearby is Duke’s Café. This is where you can try hotcakes, eggs and Tiana’s popular beignets. Not too far from this restaurant, you will find The Bog Easy boathouse. Inside Guests will find the entrance to The Princess and the Frog attraction. Move into the New Orleans rhythm with Tiana and her friends and join them on a journey to become human again. This boat dark ride features advanced motion figures and detailed show scenes in which Guests are immersed into Tiana’s swinging story hosted by Mama Odie, the wise bayou witch from the movie. Show scenes will include Dig a little Deeper, Take You There and Down in New Orleans finale. If you walk a bit further, through a narrow shady path, you will find Doctor Facilier’s Voodoo Emporium, a souvenir shop. The shop is connected to an attraction, Doctor Facilier’s Séance of the Strange. This show attraction will be similar to the Enchanted Tiki Room and features Guests sitting in Facilier’s séance room, where he is conjured from the other side together with his many mysterious friends. Enjoy a mystic tune as masks and voodoo dolls come to life for a twisted party. To experience a real dream come true, go to the Tiana's Palace restaurant. This restaurant, owned by Princess Tiana, is New Orleans' crown jewel serving gumbo and many other dishes while the live jazz orchestra, Firefly Five plus Lou, led by Louis entertains the Guests.
1534590595598.png
Then we will move further into the swamp/woodlands of Bog Easy. This part of the land is home to happy critters. Around every corner, you can hear that these swampland inhabitants have always ignored the ghost stories from the human side of Bog Easy and have instead continued the ideal of living careless, free and in harmony with each other. However, one little critter seems to have the desire to leave his home and to go on a journey to find his ‘’Laughing place’’. In Splash Mountain, Guests take off on a rollicking log flume ride featuring Br’er Rabbit and many other characters and songs from the classic (though controversial) Disney film, The Song of the South. Hop inside a hollowed-out log and gently drift past rocky caves, vine-strewn swamps and sun-drenched meadows. The attraction’s style will be altered to fit the darker and more realistic tone of Bog Easy, though maintaining its happy character overall. This is done in a way that the ride doesn’t feel like the single sunray in Bog Easy or like it is out of place with the rest of the gloomy area. The ride itself will also be changed. Instead of being the classic Splash Mountain we know, this version will be a bit more on the scale of Dudley-Do Right’s Ripsaw Falls at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and will use techniques which can be found in Phantasialand’s Chiapas attraction in Germany. At the exit, wander around The Briar Patch, where you can collect your Song of the South souvenirs.
1534590766416.png
As you take a gander at the swamps, you hear a merry country tune echoing and inviting you to come closer. In the dense woods, Guests will find the Country Bear Hall. This table service restaurant is where Guests can dine whilst enjoying a knee-slappin’ good time at this jolly country-and-western show starring a hilarious bunch of singing bears. Almost hidden behind the Hall are a few rocky hills. Inside are the secret tunnels of Bog Easy, which were dug by Jean Lafitte, who tried to hide his treasures there. One of the youngest members of the Country Bears, Oscar (who is known as the small bear who quietly sits on the right-hand side of The Five Bear Rugs band’s platform, clutching and squeezing his teddy bear) has last been seen crawling into these tunnels but now has gone missing. In the Country Bear Runaway Mine Carts ride, Guests dash in and out of twisting caverns and join the familiar Country Bears on a rickety mine cart ride through Lafitte’s Tunnels. The ride will be sort of similar to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction, but instead of the vehicles being actual trains, this attraction will have single mine cars racing over its tracks. Along the way you will have thrilling coaster sections as well as short show scenes, similar to the ones in the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars attraction at Hong Kong Disneyland. In the end you will find Oscar back in Lafitte’s hidden treasure cave and enjoy a musical finale with country bears such as Henry, Big Al, Liver Lips McGraw and Teddi Bara. At the exit, Guests will find the Big Al’s Collection shop, selling Country Bear Memorabilia.

Because I noticed I used quite some references throughout the posts, I decided to post something in which you can watch videos of shows and attractions that I was aiming at when I said something like, ''it will be similar to''.

The Jolly Trolley Stop, similar to the small show on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando:

The Walt's Restaurant. This restaurant will be very similar to the one found on Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland Paris:

Gardens of Magic will be somewhat inspired by the Gardens of Imagination at Shanghai Disneyland:
https://www.yo
utube.com/watch?v=Ksk0JKlEs1E

The Enchanted Canal Boats will be similar to the Voyage to the Crystal Grotto attraction at Shanghai Disneyland:

Enchanted Storytime show will be similar to the Fantasy Faire shows at Disneyland:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8RTxzp0lGw

This version of Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction features the duo spinners and return-time queue which can also be found at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5Z5xlCLuWg

The Greenhouse restaurant will be similar to the Enchanted Garden restaurant, found on the Disney Dream:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeeBoIA0N3E

Philharmonica will be similar to Philharmagic at the Magic Kingdom and Hong Kong Disneyland:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T56ppgwJOQ0

Tron: Infiniti will be inspired by Tron Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taeucixxrdM

Deep Sea Exploration uses a similar dry-for-wet effect to Tokyo DisneySEA's 20,000 Leagues under the Sea:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2ezHzl6SFU

Virus Fighters will be a 4D computer animated simulator ride, similar to Despicable Me Minion Mayhem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAVr2r3z8EA

The Foodcoaster Café adopts the rollercoaster service system from Europapark Germany's Foodloop Restaurant:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO6hRhu6BM8

Journey into Imagination will be an advanced trackless dark ride similar to Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland(also inspires this park's Haunted Mansion):

This is the updated version of Tokyo Disneyland's It's A Small World that partly inspired this park's version of the ride:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9VzdqAX7ZM

The Explorers' Club will be very similar to the Adventurers' Club that was once found at Pleasure Island in Orlando:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOGBcRaVP_s

Lilo and Stitch: Cousin Catchers will be inspired by Tokyo Disneyland's Monsters Inc. Hide and Go Seek and Universal's Men In Black Alien Attack:

*note* Thunder Mesa in Frontierland has been changed to Goldtooth Creek, which is a name inspired by the town's Goldcraze and the never used name of Bronzetooth for Tokyo Disney's Frontierland in it's very early design stage.

*note* One Man's Dream Gallery now includes an audio animatronic show based on Walt Disney and his story on a scale of the American Adventure at Disney's Epcot.

Shadowlands

1534674918910.png

Our next land is one I’m very excited about, this is Shadowlands. This land is dedicated to one of the most popular group of Disney characters, the antagonists. Past a broken wall covered in black and purple vines, a crumbling bridge leads to a mysterious dark town. This is where evil villains and dark demons have been banished to and that’s simply how this town has been built up. If you walk around this town, you’ll feel like you’ve ended up in the Storybrooke (ABC’s Once Upon A Time) for villains. In town you will find that the villains have laid down their evil plans for a while and built up lives with specific businesses. They are all resting until they can get back at finalizing their dastardly deeds. The town will be a bit similar to the one that can be found in the Night at Bald Mountain short from Disney’s Fantasia. That’s especially because of the fact that the town lies at the foot of Bald Mountain. Around the land is a large wall, which was constructed to keep everything that goes in there. Unfortunately, the villains have found a way to break holes in the wall, but luckily it gives us a chance to take a look at their lives behind the wall. As you walk around the town you will be able to meet all of your favorite baddies, but also get a chance to say hi to some less popular characters like Ratigan, Yzma and Stromboli. Dive into the land of shadows and find out more about the backstories of these evildoers. The area itself will feel similar to Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Orlando, especially Knockturn Alley.
1534675015489.png
Around these winding streets you will find different shops, restaurants and rides that are all connected to the villains’ franchise. Shadowlands offers a variety of places to fuel up for evil encounters and it’s easy to escape this town of terrors by entering the many shops sure to tempt your most dastardly desires. For a quick drink and snack, stop by Yzma’s Potion Bar. This bar, owned by the Peruvian mad scientist herself, serves many of Yzma’s curious and mysterious brews. Luckily, these ones won’t change you into animals though! Connected to this building is a rollercoaster adventure for young and old, one of those things we, Disney Maniacs have been waiting for, Yzma’s Secret Lab Coaster. Yzma has never given up on her hopes for the Peruvian throne and she needs test audience to see whether she can successfully use her potions to make her dreams come true. That’s why she’s inviting you to her secret underground lab in the Shadowlands, which she says has been upgraded, compared to the one in Peru. The most notable entrance to the lab is a room similar to the one we know from the Emperor’s New Groove movie. A room in which we can find a large door with two levers. Once the correct lever is pulled, the visitor is seated in a vehicle and rides into the lab, via rollercoaster. Race around twists and turns while Yzma is trying to get you to drink her suspicious potions. In the end, she manages to spray the potion over the Guests. In a mirror you can see yourself transformed into different animals. Yzma decides she wants to transform into a serpent so she can poison Kuzco, yet Kronk gives her the wrong one, transforming her into a turtle. Guess you’ll have to come back another time, if you want to help her out again.
1534675228863.png
One of the most popular places around town is The Poisoned Apple. This is the local sweets and bakery of the Shadowlands. Get your poisoned candy apple or try some delicious Agrabah Delights. The most popular dining option is Club Chernabog though, almost a night club for villains. Enjoy a villainous cabaret and dining show featuring some dark tunes like Poor Unfortunate Souls, Be Prepared and Cruella de Vil. This show will be similar to the Villains Tonight! show on the Disney Dream Cruise Ship. This table service restaurant is where baddies go to relax and enjoy a good meal. All of the dishes and drinks are named after Disney villains. The most popular drink, The Poisoned Apple Brew. The Villain Emporium, Shadowlands’ largest shop. Brave this large store for villain memorabilia. The Sea Witch’s Lair is where Ursula has built up a fish restaurant, where you can hook a snack from the seas. The restaurant’s layout will be similar to the undersea lair seen in The Little Mermaid movie. A familiar bully has also set up his business here. Pete, Mickey’s antagonist has set up his store, Dastardly Deeds here and By Hook or Crook is Captain Hook’s shop selling sea robber’s products. You can find some great souvenirs and products here. Savannah Bites is where you can hunt for your Pridelands meal yourself. Scar has set up this restaurant so you can enjoy some BBQ and African dishes. Dine in Elephant bone booths and beware of hyenas trying to steal your food from your plate.
1534674862575.png
Another familiar diva has also set up her business here and maybe if I give you a hint related to spots, dots and fur coats, you might guess it. That’s right, De Vil Fashion is the right place to find your De Vil products. Perform a quick fashion show with Cruella herself as she proudly presents her designs. Actually next to this shop, is another Shadowlands attraction, Cruella’s Motor Car Mania. In the De Vil Warehouse Cruella announces a new clothing line with Dalmatian fur, however Pongo and Perdita have hidden themselves to help the puppies escape which have been caught by Jasper and Horace. In this attraction you will board a motor car and race the streets to help Pongo and Perdita escape from Cruella. The ride will be very similar to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, but better themed and slightly more thrilling and spinning. The vehicles itself will be more advanced as well. Near the end of the attraction you will crash into Cruella’s car.
1534675830344.png
The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing is a small restaurant where you can enjoy the Big Bad Wolf’s favorite snacks, like the B.B. Sausage and the Red Riding Ribs. After this, we will visit a more colonial styled part of the Shadowlands. One of the buildings is home to The Legend of the Headless Horseman. Run through the dark woods and try to get away from the legendary headless horseman. This thrilling trackless dark ride lets Guests board horse carriages as you rush through the spooky forest, while around every corner the legend of the horseman is chasing you. The Sleepy Hollow Tavern is not too far away from the attraction and is themed after the restaurant in the segment from Adventures with Ichabod and Mr. Toad. This is where you can enjoy some classic American meals and learn more about the Legend of the Headless Horseman as Brom Bones is very willing to tell you about all the ghost stories.
1534675953817.png
A more rundown manor is home to another family favorite here in the Shadowlands, the Lonesome Manor. You’re invited to one of the most haunted homes of Shadowlands. This attraction is based on the Mickey Mouse short, Lonesome Ghosts and will be similar to the Monsters Inc. Hide and Go Seek ride at Tokyo Disneyland. It will also feature references to the black and white shorts, The Haunted House and Skeleton Dance. Guests are recruited as ghost hunters and are given light torches to find all the lonesome ghosts haunting this manor. Around the manor, the ghosts are using their poltergeist powers to scare us off. By shining the light on specific places, Guests will activate special effects. These effects are activated with audio animatronics and projected effects. Can you find them all and maybe even scare the ghosts away? Near the exit, Happy Hauntings is where you can find your Shadowlands and Lonesome Manor souvenirs.
1534676180603.png
A twisted looking building is where Guests will find the entrance to the Mad Doctor’s Contraption attraction. This is the home and laboratory of the murderously insane doctor that tried to attach Pluto’s head to a chicken body to find out if in the end it would bark or crow or cackle. In this attraction you will help the Mad Doctor test out his newest invention, but is it all doomed? Craze around this house and see what the doctor is up to. This crazy dark ride is where all cartoon gags are used on you (think of a falling anvil, an encounter with a murderous spider and a crazy saw robot. The attraction will be based on the Mickey Mouse short as well as on the references which are made in the Epic Mickey video games (which btw are fantastic, in my opinion).
1534676252136.png
Although the town has enough to explore for Guests, Bald Mountain is always lurking you closer and closer. This is where you’ll find the land’s main attraction, called The Gathering. Escape a mysterious and evil gathering of some of Disney’s darkest villains. In this hydrocoaster, similar to the Efteling’s De Vliegende Hollander rollercoaster in The Netherlands and Europapark’s Poseidon in Germany, you will find out that the villains haven’t exactly been resting, but instead have been finding ways to become stronger by conjuring the evil demon Chernabog, living inside Bald Mountain. Inside the mountain you’ll encounter villains such as the Evil Queen, Maleficent, Jafar(transforming into a gigantic snake), Ursula(imagine a scene in which you make a half inverted turn and slow down as you rattle over Ursulas tentacles) and Hades(blasting fire) as they try to get you out of the way. The indoor sections features flume as well as rollercoaster sections while passing by spectacular show scenes, of which the final one features a sea of flames out of which Chernabog is awakened and sends you down a waterfall. This will also be one of the most popular rides at the park in general, known for its characters, sets, effects and thrills.

*note* On Walt Disney Avenue, we can now find the Sweetheart's Bakery, a small baker shop themed to Minnie Mouse. Also, next to Practical Pig Hardware Shop, there is now an audio animatronic diorama that can be activated by knocking on the door.

*note* The Flowers and Trees Terrace in the Gardens of Magic has received a more detailled description.

Timeless Riverside

1535967035271.png

Welcome to Walt Disneyland Park’s only area which you will not be able to enter via a gate and bridge, Timeless Riverside. This land will actually be located behind the Shadowlands and Fantasyland. Just before seeing the railroad tracks from the Walt Disney Steam Trains, you will be able to enter a large tunnel, sort of similar to the one in the ‘’Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’’ movie leading to Toontown. Yet, this one will be more toony and colorful. Passing through the tunnel special lighting and projection effects will make it seem as if the colours are sucked away and turned into black and white. Timeless Riverside will be an indoor themed area, hidden away from the rest of the park. Guests step right into the world of Disney’s classic black-and-white animated shorts, where they are able to meet characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and the Gremlins. Timeless Riverside is a small town stuck in time, but they all live peacefully. It is somewhat inspired by the Timeless Riverside in the Kingdom Hearts series and also the Epic Mickey video games. It is where you can relive your favorite shorts in fun and exciting ways.
1535966991551.png
This all black-and-white land is build up similarly to Toontown at Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Park, but will also be somewhat similar to the layout of Toon Lagoon and Seuss Landing at the Islands of Adventure Park in Orlando. As soon as you step inside the riverside town, a jolly vintage tune starts to play, getting Guests in the right mood for all the adventures yet to be uncovered in Timeless Riverside. You will notice that many of the restaurants and shops are directly themed after some of your favorite animated Disney shorts. If pizzas, salads and burgers are your taste, have a delicious meal at Clarabelle’s Corner. The hotdogs at Plutopia restaurant are also barking good! And for the deserts and bread goods, there’s nothing more tasteful than the food at Ortensia’s Bakery. If your sides don’t ache too much, spend some time next door at Dippie Dawg’s Collectibles for fanciful Timeless merchandise. Dippie Dawg’s Collectibles is inspired by the original form and name of Goofy in some of the earliest shorts. Near the town center, Guests can find the entrance to the Plane Crazy attraction. Board your very own plane and go crazy as you soar around this animated world of wonders. This flying spinner attraction is based on the 1928 Mickey Mouse short, Plane Crazy. In this short, Mickey and his barnyard friends build their own plane and invites Minnie for a test flight.
1535965949388.png
For a wilder ride, visit the Trolley station of Timeless Riverside. Here you can hop aboard one of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’s trolleys in Trolley Troubles. Ride an unexpectedly turning trolley cart while various obstacles cause chaos for Oswald and his passengers. This family rollercoaster will be similar to the boom coaster patent for the upcoming Donkey Kong Mine Cart Ride coming to the Universal Theme Parks in Japan and Orlando. This attraction uses a technology in which it seems that the vehicle is able to hop off the track and jump over gaps. The vehicle appears to be traveling along a track but is actually operated by a mechanical arm. This means that the vehicle could leap over obstructions, simulating death-defying aerial maneuvers over holes in the tracks. It will be based on the 1927 short, Trolley Troubles. After experiencing such a wild ride, you decide to refresh yourself at The Barnhouse, a quick service restaurant offering a wide variety of meals inside a barn themed after the 1929 short, The Barn Dance. Enjoy music by an animated barnyard band and join in during one of the restaurant’s dances.
1535965856665.png
At the town’s square you will find a large clock tower sitting at the head of the square. A beautiful fountain of Mickey Mouse in his classic form, similar to the one at Shanghai Disney’s entrance stands tall and proud. The clock tower, however, is home to another attraction at Timeless Riverside, Clock Cleaners. Face different obstacles as you try to help Mickey, Goofy and Donald cleaning the giant clock tower. This mad mouse coaster ride will be based on the 1937 animated short. During the ride, you will dodge gears, mechanical bell ringers, springs and sleepy storks. The ride will swing you in and out of the clock tower, making this one mad ride to never forget. Also on the square is the Gremlin Grabs souvenir shop, where you can purchase your Timeless Riverside memorabilia. The shop will be inspired by The Gremlins, characters created by Disney and Roald Dahl who were created for a film project in the 1940s that never saw production.
1535966008627.png
For another bite, go to Cantina Argentina. Themed to the 1928 short, The Gallopin’ Gaucho, this restaurant offers various Argentinian specialties inside an animated version of a real Argentinian cantina. Ye Olden Tavern is also an option for hungry Guests. This medieval themed restaurant will be based on the Ye Olden Days short from 1933. Enjoy a traditional meal from the Middle Ages, served similarly to what the Sir Lancelot Medieval restaurant in Budapest does (look it up, it’s a really cool one!). If you’re feeling ready again, get sucked up in The Band Concert’s tornado and swing around while a musical segment can be heard during your ride. This attraction will be similar to the Silly Symphonies Swing at Disney’s California Adventure, but will be solely themed to The Band Concert short from 1935. Wind effects and water fountains moving along with the swing, will add to the experience and the story of The Band Concert.
1535966096144.png
One of my personal favorite attractions of the park is also located in Timeless Riverside. This is Steamboat Wharf. Step into one of Mickey’s first ever shorts and join him as he tries to pilot a river steamboat. This river rapids attraction will be based on Steamboat Willie and will be somewhat similar to Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. Get set for spectacular splashes and lots of silliness. That blowhard Pete is always trying to mess with Mickey. Hold on tight as you brave your way through raging rapids and keep your eyes peeled for snippets of classic animated humor. While the park already features the Jungle River Expeditions attraction, the two will be very distinct attractions with different experiences. The Jungle River Expeditions will be more comparable to Roaring Rapids, Kali River Rapids and Grizzly River Run, while Steamboat Wharf will actually be more similar to the mentioned Popeye attraction, which even features a different type of river raft boat.
1535966259653.png
Two other big shops will offer Guests a wide shopping experience in Timeless Riverside. Shop for costumes, clothes, toys, collectibles and much more at Thru the Mirror, a large store themed to the Mickey Mouse short with the same name from 1936. Travel through Mickey’s mirror into a backwards version of his house and some of its strange inhabitants, a dancing telephone, a pair of gloves and a deck of playing cards. Just beware of the King of Hearts as he easily becomes jealous of people dancing with his Queen. Mickey’s Service Station will be the last shop of this area. It will be themed to the short from 1935. Roam around this station which will be in form similar to the Oscar’s Super Service at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As you walk by, you might notice that a car keeps squeaking ‘’Yankee Doodle’’, a reference to the animated short itself.
1535966311990.png
Lastly, Guests will find a black and white version of the original Disneyland train station. Passing through the tunnels, you will find the queue for the Color Quest attraction. This highly themed interactive attraction places Guests right in the middle of the action. Pete has stolen color from the world of Toons and it’s our task to help Mickey and his friends to paint the world once more. The attraction, in form, will be similar to the Toy Story Mania attraction. To give an example of what the attraction will be like, I’d like to mention Goofy’s Paint ‘n’ Play House which can be found at Tokyo Disneyland. Guests will be armed with paint brushes and will be able to paint the show scenes of the attraction. The ride will also be inspired by the Epic Mickey games, but with a different storyline of course.

Fantasyland

1536230892263.png

Past the Gardens of Magic, lies the most magical land of them all, Fantasyland. Guarded by the largest castle ever seen in a Disney theme park, Sorcerer’s Castle. This castle is home to the powerful yet friendly wizard, Yen Sid. This would mark the first time, the sorcerer would be given a prime role in the parks. Placed on top of dark blue and grey rocks, this impressive castle shines in the bright sun, reflecting its blues, purples and whites. Adorned with gold, mosaic murals, tapestries, gargoyles and beautiful stained glass windows, the building truly represents the sense of stepping into a storybook world in which you can fly with Peter Pan, fall down a rabbit hole with Alice and go under the sea with Ariel. Sorcerer’s Castle will be inspired by the elegant beauty of Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant at Disneyland Paris, the grandeur of Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle and the size of Shanghai Disney’s Enchanted Storybook Castle. The castle itself resembles many of the fairy tale castles in Europe. Inside and out, the castle is perfectly suited for Yen Sid and inspired by all his appearances in video games and movie segments. As you cross over one of the side passages leading to the castle’s entrance, you are able to hear a musical melody inspired by pieces and songs such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, When You Wish Upon A Star and Someday My Prince Will Come.
1536230996869.png
Once inside, Guests find themselves in a grand indoor hall, where they are able to wander off into this fully explorable fortress of fantasy. In the center, a fountain inspired by Sorcerer Mickey and the magic brooms can be found underneath a large dome which is made to look like a clear star-filled sky. The building will be multi-functional and actually hosts a shop, a restaurant, a meet and greet facility, a walkthrough attraction and a dark boat ride. On the ground level of the castle, you will find the entrance to The Secrets of Sorcerer’s Castle walkthrough attraction. Wander through Yen Sid’s castle in awe as you will be able to explore different magical rooms, such as the observatory (similar to Tokyo DisneySEA’s Fortress of Exploration), the library (where floating books and storybooks coming to life will surprise Guests around every corner), the room of worlds (where every door leads to another magical world in the Disney universe, like Atlantica, Olympus, Agrabah, The Pridelands and Corona.) and the mysterious dungeons. In the dungeons, we are lurked in by the song of an almost forgotten Disney character, The Reluctant Dragon. This friendly fellow has found his place underneath the castle, in a similar way as La Taniere du Dragon at Disneyland Paris. Watch as he falls asleep or listen to one of his newest sonnets, but don’t anger him as he might start to breathe fire.
1536231743229.png
Facing the entrance to the walkthrough is the Fairy Tale Treasures shop, which specializes in magic wands, princess dresses and medieval armors. Up the winding stairs, we are able to dine at the Wizard’s Table, which will be quite similar to the Be Our Guest Restaurant at Orlando’s Magic Kingdom. Imposing stained glass windows of Fantasia segments and Disney characters will be one of the special features of this restaurant that keeps Guests in awe at this restaurant, but of course the food will leave the best impression. During your dinner, you will be able to rub elbows with some of your favorite characters as they welcome you to Fantasyland. If you can’t get enough of meeting characters, visit the Storybook Gathering. Here you can meet characters like Snow White, Aurora, Hercules and Aladdin before standing eye in eye with the sorcerer Yen Sid himself. The castle is truly magical and Guests will find out that there will be a lot of little interactive secrets and tributes to Walt Disney, the people who contributed to the creation of the parks and the success of the company and characters of attractions and movie properties.
1536232174878.png
Perhaps, the most interesting feature of the castle is the fact that it hosts a dark boat ride, Once Upon A Time. In this attraction, Guests board one of the magic fleets and explore a whole new world in which the Disney movies live together in a connected universe created by Yen Sid. Maybe the most magical attraction of the whole park will be a Splash Mountain-scale flume through this shared universe of animated fairytales. The journey starts off in Yen Sid’s workshop, where the powerful sorcerer and his apprentice open up a portal into this connected universe. Along the way you will soar the skies with whales (Fantasia 2000), dance along living flowers and plants (Fantasia), sing along with Aurora in the woods, but beware of evil forces who try to interrupt your magical journey past magical creatures, famous characters, impressive show sets and unexpected happenings. The ride concludes in a grand finale based on the Sorcerer’s Apprentice transitioning to a big splash into the Fantasyland lagoon, behind the castle. The boats will pass over the Castle court plateau at the back of the castle. This plateau gives a perfect view of the Storybook village that sets up the wonders of Fantasyland and the lagoon itself. The lagoon will be a magical pond with plants, trees and small diorama of fountains and lights, past which the Once Upon A Time boats slowly cruise by. The plateau will be inspired by a Greek and Roman garden with its concrete pillars and will look a lot like the Dance of the Hours segment in Fantasia. If you look closely at a central window on the castle, you'll see the curtains swish. The Sorcerer Yen Sid spies on Fantasyland visitors every 20-30 seconds as he silently overlooks his world.
1536232114016.png
From here, you’ll be able to step right into the pages of a storybook and explore storybook village. Here, admirers of stories started to start up their business and settle after the powerful sorcerer Yen Sid found the crystal caverns in which magic crystals told stories of far lands. Many of these far lands were found after the crystals were retrieved by Yen Sid and formed the Storybookland (based on the Storybookland Canal Boats), where many of these magical stories took place. Storybook village will be just like wandering off into a fairy tale world. This town surrounds the Fantasyland lagoon on both sides and has a large square at the top of the pond. It will be fully explorable, which means that there will be small streets and pathways, instead of just the standard facades. Its architecture will be inspired by real-life towns such as Hallstatt(Austria), Rothenburg ob den Tauber(Germany), Colmar(France) and Zaanse Schans(The Netherlands). To basically name the origins of influence, look at Scandinavian, Dutch, British, French, German, Polish, Italian and Greek architecture and you’ll sort of get the right image of what I’m aiming for.
1536234402891.png
In town you’ll be able to visit a variety of shops and dining options, which are happy to immerse you into a magical story. A small French countryside cottage will be home to the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique. Step inside an enchanted beauty salon that offers Guests magical makeovers into princesses, knights and more. With the wave of a magic wand plus a few hands-on tricks of the trade, the Fairy Godmothers-in-training will pamper and primp the Guests until they’re storybook stunning. Not too far away, an elegant medieval building will be the home of the Royal Banquet Hall. Join Disney princesses for storybook dining inside a medieval banquet hall with soaring archways and cathedral ceilings. The whole restaurant will be a true tribute to the official Disney princess line-up (Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Merida, Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, Elena and Moana). Each of the members of this line-up will receive equal attention inside the restaurant and they will gladly meet you at your table for an enchanting experience. Fuel up fast on bread goods and pastries at Red Riding Hood’s Basket. This bakery will be themed to the famous fairy tale character. Around town, you will notice small references to stories which aren’t officially made Disney movies yet, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Puss in Boots and Hansel and Gretel.
1536234057612.png
Visit Storybook Town’s most popular tavern, The Enchanted Tree. Inside this jolly old inn, you can enjoy a wide variety of meals and special drinks, while some of your favorite characters from Fantasyland create a magical atmosphere around the central Enchanted Tree. The tavern would be built around this large, old, glowing tree, believed to be inhabited by sprites and pixies. Sink your sweet tooth into an old-fashioned array of confectionaries at the Candyland Corner. Peek inside the glass-walled kitchen to see the candy makers at work before choosing from chocolate-covered strawberries, caramel apples, toffee, fudge and so much more. Near the clock tower at the top of the Fantasyland Lagoon lies the Fantasyland Theatre. This theatre will host many different shows, changing shows probably every 5 to 10 years or so. The first show, however, will be Mickey and the Enchanted Music Box. This new and spectacularly unique show has been created to bring to life new and classic Disney stories and movies in an exhilarating, musical revue stage production like no other. The Fantasyland theatre takes you on a journey in which Mickey is gifted an enchanted music box and as soon as it starts to play, it will take you to various worlds in the Disney universe. Examples of songs featured will be ‘’Under the Sea’’, ‘’Be Our Guest’’, ‘’A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes’’ and ‘’Once Upon A Dream’’. The show will be quite similar to Mickey and the Magical Map at Disneyland and Mickey and the Wondrous Book at Hong Kong Disneyland.
1536234532250.png
A bridge from the main square crosses the waters of Fantasyland Lagoon and Storybookland’s waters. Just at the edge of town, nearly heading into the Storybookland half of Fantasyland, is a small toy shop, perked between the other Storybookvillage buildings. Curiously, you head to the windows to look inside. You are welcomed by a range of cuckoo-clocks, small toy dioramas and different types of toys that are authentically made by the Italian toymaker, Geppetto. At Geppetto’s Workshop, you’re sure to find your desired Fantasyland souvenirs. If you choose to walk over the small streets just next to Geppetto’s, you’ll find yourself on the Italian alpine village streets of Pinocchio village. Here you’ll find the Red Lobster Inn, a small bar serving Italian and German meals. This is also where you will be able to meet Honest John and Gideon, the sneaky fox and cat from Disney’s Pinocchio feature film. For a more extensive meal, head to the Pinocchio Village Haus. Roasted duck pizza is the featured specialty at this whimsical restaurant that also serves up family favorites like spaghetti, schnitzels and lasagna. The restaurant will be located on a small hidden square. On the square itself, Guests can enjoy the Stromboli Theatre Presents: Pinocchio show. The evil gypsy Stromboli has found his way to Fantasyland and now entertains Guests in a puppetry show, re-telling the story of Pinocchio on his journey to become a real boy.
1536234708449.png
The first attraction of Storybookland, however will also be themed around the wooden boy. In Pinocchio and the Return of Monstro, Guests will help Pinocchio find Geppetto on the rough Italian seas while the monstrous whale is trying to stop you. In this attraction you will board wooden rafts, similar to the ones that Geppetto and Pinocchio used to escape Monstro. This dark boat ride will use a similar track system to the Pirates of the Caribbean ~ Battle for the Sunken Treasure attraction at Shanghai Disneyland, but on a smaller scale, while its audio animatronic characters will be more on the level of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Frozen Ever After and Enchanting Tales with Belle. The rafts will take Guests down a stream through Pinocchio’s village, into the seas (featuring audio animatronic scenes of the fish seen in the movie), past risky cliffs and into the whale. The ride could almost be seen as a combination of Jaws! The ride, Splash Mountain and the mentioned Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. The finale features Guests getting launched from Monstro, who can be seen, stuck in the rocks of Storybookland’s cliffs. The concept will be similar to the once envisioned flume ride that was supposed to be built in Fantasyland at Disneyland.

How would these effects be achieved?
The library will use a lot of audio animatronic effects of floating books, but additionally you would find books that "come to life" through projections and screen effects. The room of worlds would be a round room with various themed doors. From time to time, one of them opens to reveal the worlds mentioned behind them through screen effects and special effects like temperature changes(cold for Arendelle) or water sprays(for Atlantica) etc.

Where is this from?
Its concept art from a line up of future advanced atttaction concepts. In this concept Guests would board a steam train rollercoaster, but people would actually get to vote "left" or "right" during the ride. The majority of the votes would decide whether the train would switch left or right on these brake runs. However, I did not like that concept enough, so i decided to go with a randomized version of it.

The cliffs from Pinocchio Village slowly start to transition into the rocky coastal beaches from the world of The Little Mermaid. Wander off into Prince Eric’s Kingdom and explore his seaside town and castle. A fresh ocean scent takes over the area’s atmosphere and the sounds of waves hitting the cliffs truly immerse you to this magical realm in the Disneyverse. The most impressive building in the area is Eric’s castle. Located on the shores of this Danish-like country, surrounded by mountaineous regions, making entry into the kingdom by land risky. The castle will be full-scaled and inspired by Chillon Castle (Switzerland), Tintagel Castle (Wales) and the Amsterdam Westerkerk (The Netherlands). Inside, the Les Poissons Restaurant welcomes Guests inside this majestic building. Dine in one of the many themed halls of the castle and enjoy the many delicious dishes prepared by Chef Louis. In Eric’s Dining Hall, a portrait can be seen above the fireplace depicting a couple that looks suspiciously like Aurora and Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Considering how large the painting is for an area that is for public dining, it might suggest they are Eric’s ancstors. The large windows face the eastern shore front, revealed in a similar style to the windows in the Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. From time to time Prince Eric and Princess Ariel will greet you at your table and don’t order the Crab salad or you’ll maybe even encounter an audio animatronic Sebastian escaping the dinner plates.
1537885393901.png
If you listen closely outside, you might hear a siren’s voice singing, leading you into mysterious caves. Suddenly an eccentric, yet familiar seagull appears and tells you all about the many sea legends of Eric’s Kingdom. At the same time, he tries to educate us about objects as ‘’dinglehoppers’’ and ‘’snarfblatts’’. These caves eventually lead to the entrance of The Voyage of the Little Mermaid attraction. In this attraction Guests will board trackless spinning shell vehicles and descend below the waves for a whimsical musical adventure awash with scenes from the animated classic. The concept for the trackless dark ride is taken from a more immersive take on a ride for the Little Mermaid that was once envisioned for Tokyo DisneySea. It will feature scenes like Ariel looking at Eric’s ship, the mermaid singing Part of your World in her lair, an undersea calypso and a monstrous battle between Eric and the evil sea witch, Ursula. At the exit of the attraction, you’ll find the Whozits and Whatzits shop for all your Little Mermaid Memoribilia.
1537886508645.png
Walk on and you’ll see green mountains towering over the Fantasyland horizons. An eternal rainbow attracts visitors to this mystical island. Pass over a suspended wooden bridge and you’ll find yourself in the land past the second star to the right, Neverland. For if you never want to grow up and want to swim with mermaids, venture the jungles with the lost boys, live a pirate’s life and fly with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Although the island will be similar to exploratory areas like Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Adventure Isle at Disneyland Paris and Tarzan’s Island at Hong Kong Disneyland, the area will feature several attractions and dining options. Visit places of interest like Crocodile Creek (where Tick Tock the crocodile appear from time to time), Peg Leg Point and Hangman’s Tree. Inside the Hangman’s Tree, The Lost Boy Hideout Restaurant affords lovely views of Neverland that Guests can enjoy while they dine.
1537886617229.png
The main attraction, Quest for the Darling Children will fly Guests over the jungles of Neverland into a battle with Captain Hook and his crew of pirates. Guests will join Peter Pan in an adventure to rescue the Darling Children who have been kidnapped by Captain Hook and his pirates. Guests board boats and follow the Lost Boys down a jungle river. When Tinker Bell sprinkles the boats with pixie dust, Guests fly through Neverland on an unprecedented adventure that features iconic music and dynamic 3D imagery of the characters from the film. Guests will finally be able to fulfill one of those wishes they make when watching Disney’s classic animated movies, be able to fly with Peter Pan. Located along the sea, near Buccaneer Bay, an area is marked by a large rock formation in the shape of a skull. This is Skull Rock. Not too far from this icon, lies a large bay, the anchoring spot for Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger. On the docks, a welcoming tavern called Tick Tock’s welcomes visitors and pirate crew members to enjoy specialties from the sea like fish and chips.
1537886751929.png
When you’re in Neverland, you might hear something tinkling of little bells. Follow that sound and you’ll find Pixie Hollow, the secret heart of Neverland. This will be an indoor area, made to look like its outdoors and shrinks you down to the size of Tinkerbell and her pixie friends. This area will be quite similar to the Minimoy world at Europapark in Germany. It is home realm to all of the hundreds of fairies of Neverland. Explore autumn forest, summer glade, spring valley, winter woods and the majestic great old maple tree. A second attraction, Tinkerbell’s Daring Journey immerses Guests in the oversized world of Pixie Hollow where Tinker Bell and her fairy friends live and work. In this suspended dark ride, Tink enchants us and tours us around Pixie Hollow. The valley is filled with fairies and forest creatures. The attraction will be similar to the Peter Pan attraction at Shanghai Disneyland and Droomvlucht at the Efteling in the Netherlands. A second attraction, Cheese Carriages lets Guest board carriages held by mice. Spin in the mad mayhem of Pixie Hollows mice carriages in a similar style to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, Alien Swirling Saucers and the upcoming Big Hero 6 attraction at Tokyo Disneyland. At The Pixie Glenn, you can find dine amongst the pixies and enjoy their special dishes.
1537886902265.png
Moving closer to Fantasyland’s Center again, you will first find the opposite side of Eric’s Kingdom. This area will be one large connected Scandinavian subarea. This side of the lagoon, however is where a Frozen kingdom awakes. Welcome to Arendelle, the kingdom of Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. This area is set in Arendelle after the events in the film when Queen Elsa has embraced her magical power to control snow and ice. She has since opened the castle gates so that Guests can freely visit the Kingdom. Located here will be Frozen Ever After, a boat dark ride. Hoist the sails in Arendelle aboard an ancient Norwegian vessel as you set into the wondrous wintery world of Frozen and celebrate a snowy summer day. Although somewhat similar to the attraction at Epcot, this version will focus on the celebration of a snowy summer day and features Olaf as the main character. It features many new scenes and keeps out scenes as well, like the troll scene. Past the gates of the castle lies a large courtyard. In winter, Guests can find a magical ice rink where they can ice skate in an enchanted atmosphere. Inside the castle, however, you will find the Arendelle Castle Dining Hall. Explore this magical castle and its many rooms while you enjoy traditional Scandinavian dishes.
1537887086801.png
In Arendelle town, you’ll be able to find several points of interest. The Akershus serves another Taste of Norway, featuring the finest Scandinavian seafood, imported cheeses, cured and sliced meats, and a vast selection of salads and fruits. Then take your pick from a rotating menu of hot entrees, including grilled fillet of salmon, oven-roasted chicken breast and a Norwegian meatball dish called Kjottkake. Jurgen’s Bakeri, is where you are welcomed by a sweet scent of pastries, bread goods and chocolate, Princess Anna’s favorite. The Frozen Boutique will be a shop and experience similar to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Here, Guests can experience Frozen fun all year long and choose their look, Olaf Package, Elsa Package, Anna Package and the Cool as Ice look. In the town’s local theatre, you can enjoy the Frozen Sing Along Celebration. Be part of the music and magic as you join Anna, Elsa and Kristoff for an interactive performance where you get to sing along to songs such as For the First Time in Forever, Love is an Open Door and of course, Let it Go.
1537887128961.png
Wandering out of town, you’ll find yourself in the Scandinavian woods, transitioning to the Enchanted Forest area. In these Scandinavian woods, hop by Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna, a merchandise shop for all Frozen souvenirs, clothing and other goods. Venture further and you’ll find the Valley of the Living Rock, a hidden valley inhabited by mystical trolls. Its existence is known by very few. In this area, you’ll find audio animatronic figures of trolls and geysers. The vast, wilderness landscape surrounding the kingdom is made up of mountains. It is here that Arendelle’s primary export, ice, is harvested. A looming, ominous mountain that towers over the rest of the land is where The Snow Queen has claimed her home with the creation of her ice palace. In the caves near the Valley of the Living Rock, you’ll find the entrance to the Journey for the Frozen Heart attraction. Get send back in time by the trolls and re-live the tale of two sisters who wish to thaw a frozen heart. This immersive motion-based attraction places Guests right in the middle of the action as they board a classic sleigh from Arendelle. The attraction will be a trackless rollercoaster, the first ever. It features scenes that switch from trackless dark ride scenes to tracked rollercoaster sequences similar to Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts attraction at Universal Studios Orlando. Encounter wolves, biting frost and an angry snowman along your journey as you’ll save the kingdom together with Anna, Kristoff and Olaf.
1537902622194.png
The Enchanted Forest is a collective forested area in which multiple Fantasyland stories come to life. From the Scandinavian woods, we’ll find ourselves in a more Germanic forest filled with pines, beeches and oaks and surrounded by small hills and fast streams. This forest is part of the Kingdom of Corona. It is home to a remote tower that held Rapunzel captive for eighteen years. Winding around the area, you’ll notice that Pascal is hiding and waiting for you to find him. A path leads to the painted rock walls of Tangled: A Hairy Tale, a dark ride in which Guests board floating lanterns. Float around in a flickering lantern and fly past some of your favorite scenes from Disney’s Tangled. The lantern will be able to rise and fall by a robotic arm and sends you into the story. You’ll experience Rapunzel’s best day ever as she journeys with Flynn to the lantern festival. Countless flickering lanterns illuminate the attraction’s finale while Rapunzel and Flynn sing their iconic song, I See the Light. Hidden in the forest as well, is the hideout of the humorous band of thugs who appeared in the film. Dine at The Snuggly Duckling and enjoy the I’ve Got A Dream Revue while you’re able to enjoy roasted chicken, pork legs and cinnamon rolls.

The German forest area from Tangled transitions into an area inspired by The Black Forest region. Just as the area gets more mountainous and we can hear the sounds of animal life everywhere around us, we stumble upon a path leading to a mysterious, yet cute forest cottage. It’s the home of the Seven Dwarfs, who leave every morning to work in the Dwarfs’ Mine, where a million diamonds shine. This is where Guests are able to experience the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction. Race around through the mines where a million diamonds shine in a swinging mine cart adventure based on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The ride travels both indoors and outdoors similar to Frontierland’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but unlike many other rollercoasters, this one’s specially designed to appeal to a family-oriented audience. Enchanting scenery and cartoonish architecture immerses you into the merry world of Snow White. This version of the attraction will however be longer and features new show scenes, never seen before, like the Seven Dwarfs passing over a lodge, Snow White singing in the forest etc. Beware of the wicked witch as she roams the woods, seeking revenge on Snow White and all that she loves.

1540213935072.png
Our next forested area appears as a lush forest with many tall trees and grass. A banner, painted by a little boy, welcomes us to the hundred acre woods. It is home to Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Owl, Piglet and Gopher. This will be another fully exploratory area in Walt Disneyland Park, where you are able to visit the homes of your favorite characters like Owl’s Treehouse (where you’re able to end up in a small conversation with Owl himself), Pooh’s house and Eeyore’s Gloomy Place. At Rabbit’s Howse you’re able to dine inside the warm home of Rabbit himself. Enjoy classic countryside meals and British dishes, as Rabbit himself frequently greets his Guests. A classic British country cottage welcomes Guests to the Pooh’s Great Adventure attraction. Board an air balloon and fly through the Hundred Acre Woods where Pooh and his friends experience all sorts of adventures. As soon as Christopher Robin gives Pooh a red balloon, you soar off into an adventure similar to Pooh’s Hunny Hunt. This ride will be the first trackless suspended dark ride. That’s because the balloons will have various paths to go through the show scenes, revealing different corners of the scene. As you exit, pick out your Winnie the Pooh souvenir at Pooh’s Corner.
1540214889691.png
A mysterious arch opens a path through a tunnel, as if we are falling down a rabbit hole, right into Wonderland. In Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, Guests wind their way through the maze of Alice’s Wonderland World and encounter some of their favorite characters, but beware of the Queen of Hearts. This attraction will be inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic novel about Alice’s adventures in Wonderland and will be similar to the walkthrough experience at Disneyland Paris, yet this version will also include more madhouse type features that were once envisioned by Bruce Bushman for a Alice in Wonderland Walkthrough attraction at Disneyland. In this version by Bushman you would first have your size reduced. Guests would find themselves in the corridor of doors, with some doors opening to nowhere. Guests would also be able to climb on the oversized table on which the drink me bottle and the key to the talking door would be found. The next scene is titled ‘’over the waves’’ and had Guests walk on two moving structures, which move in a wave-simulating manner. Guests would have met the Dodo and his friends on the beach while moving on a rotating disc floor, to simulate the caucus race. Next you would have encountered the Tweedles, singing and dancing. The next scene was the one entering the white rabbit house with crazy stairs inside leading to the top of the slide outside. From time to time Alice would emerge from the house, while the White Rabbit screams ‘’Help monster, monster’’. You would then walk through a garden of giant singing flowers and even encounter the wise caterpillar, who would use Turtle Talk with Crush technology to converse with Guests.
1540214996536.png
This would lead to a scene with giant trees with various indications of ways to go. These indications would for example be “This way’’, ‘’That way’’, ‘’Up’’, ‘’Back’’ and ‘’Yonder’’. From time to time a grinning Cheshire cat would appear and disappear misleading you in your search to find the way out. Then, near the March Hare’s house, you would be able to join the Mad Hatter’s Tea Birthday as they celebrate an unbirthday celebration. A tree opens up the path to a rose garden and hedge maze. Beware as card soldiers try to chase you, as well as the Queen herself jumps up from behind the hedge and yells ‘’Off with their Heads!!’’. Move towards the Castle of Cards. Inside you will witness Alice’s judgement by the queen. Similarly to the castle at Disneyland Paris, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic view of Fantasyland on the perfectly constructed terrace on top of the castle. Guests would have escaped the Queen of Hearts by walking through twin-counter rotating barrels in which you can see a whirlwind of cards printed inside, to simulate the final scene in the animated movie when Alice escapes. This version of the labyrinth will actually be more of a labyrinth instead of a chronological path suggesting your way out. This opens up the possibilities to re-do the experience. All of the characters in the maze, will be advanced audio animatronics. Imagine the white rabbit, jumping over the hedge in a similar way to Brer Rabbit in Splash Mountain singing ‘’I’m Late, I’m Late’’ or even meeting Alice as she wanders around the labyrinth herself. It will also be somewhat similar to Alice’s Wonderland Maze at Shanghai Disneyland, but of course without the influence of the Tim Burton Re-make.
1540215426563.png
Moving back to the March Hare’s House. Here you can find the March Hare’s Tea Table, a cozy garden filled with lanterns, tea cups and tea pots as you and your party are able to enjoy endless types of tea and small side dishes and sweets. Right next to the March Hare’s House is the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party attraction. Skip to Wonderland aboard a colorful teacup for a merry mad spin around a giant tea table. This version of the attraction would be more similar to the original concept in which you would have a tea table on which the Mad Hatter and March Hare would sing and dance while the tea cups would spin around it. However, what would be new for this classic attraction, is the fact that these tea cups would be trackless and thus randomly spin around the area, while Guests are able to personally adjust the speed of spinning. Connected to the Queen’s Castle of Cards, is the Queen of Hearts’ Banquet Hall where you can try many different treats and sweets from down the rabbit hole, like drink-me drinks, eat-me cookies and tarts and mushroom pieces.Just when you thought you’d seen everything of Wonderland, visit Fish Dinners. A restaurant inspired by the Walrus and the Carpenter, or the story of the curious oysters. Enjoy the most well prepared fish dishes of the park at this cozy wooden shack near the water. For a personal memory of Wonderland, visit the Wonderland Shoppe, they are sure to have something for everyone.
1540215494851.png
Our last area in Fantasyland actually takes place in a more Grim forest. This is the kingdom of DunBroch, where princess Merida and her family live. Around the area, you might find mysterious blue lights appearing and disappearing in a few seconds as the forest is known to be home to Will O’ the Wisps, spiritual, ethereal beings that represent past lives. They have the appearance of small floating bright blue colored lights. They play an important role in the story of Brave, as they lead one to their fate and destiny. In the woods, you might find a mysterious, yet welcoming cottage. This is the Witch’s cottage. Here you can purchase Brave souvenirs and merchandise. In the far distance, you will find King Fergus’ castle. Inside, Guests can enjoy the dishes at the Great Hall of DunBroch restaurant. Enjoy tarts, pork chops and even haggis from the menu. Yet, the most exciting experience has got to be the Merida’s Archery Challenge attraction. Chase the wind and touch the sky with Merida as she teaches you to become a master archer. In this attraction you’ll board a classic Scottish horse carriage from the 10th Century and are armed with bow and arrow. You’ll then race through the woods and try to aim for red targets hidden along your way, but beware of bears. Along your way you might also encounter the witch, wisps and Merida’s three little brothers, Harris, Hubert and Hamish causing trouble as you try to focus and get the most points. This interactive attraction will be half-screen, half-physical set based and is sure to be a fan favorite.
