Some quick questions (about Pop Century) before I go

We're leaving tomorrow night for Disney (whoo hoo!). 3 weeks ago something came up and we almost had to cancel our vacation, so I'm feeling very blessed right now that we are still able to go.

Anyway, we're going to be driving all night tomorrow night (10 hours) and plan to arrive in Disney between 6-7 a.m. on Wednesday. Even though our room will be far from ready, we're going to go straight to Pop Century and check in, buy our e-ride night tickets for that night, buy a Pal Mickey, and have breakfast in the cafeteria. We will probably look pretty ragged having been driving all night long, so I'm wondering if there is somewhere that we could go to sort of freshen up and maybe have a change of clothes before we head over to the Magic Kingdom. I know there's public restrooms, but is that our only option? Is there any chance they could let us borrow an empty room for 15 mins? I'm assuming not, but I thought I'd ask.

We will also be very tired after being up all night, and then we'll have the e-ride night until 1 a.m. ahead of us. We have priority seating for Chef Mickey's at 5:30 so I was hoping to head to the hotel right after lunch (get there around 1 p.m.) and sleep until we have to leave for dinner (about 4:45). Seeing as check in time isn't until 3:00 I realize that our room still might still not be ready. I'm planning to call from Magic Kingdom and check before we leave. If our room is NOT ready yet, is there anywhere (in all of Disney) we can go to get some sleep?

So those are my last 2 questions before I leave. Thanks in advance for your help!

Good questions! As far as having a place to freshen up, I don't know of any off the top of my head, but if any hotel will let you borrow a room for a few minutes, a Disney one would be the most likely candidate to be so accomodating. Never hurts to ask!

And as far as finding a place to get some sleep.....Hall of Presidents? :lookaroun

Have a fabulous trip! You'll love Pop Century!

Have a fun trip... there are showers right out by the main pool. You could also catch a quick nap by the pool and you might get lucky and a room will be ready. Check in is at 3PM but if a room is available when you get there you can go straight to your room! I stayed at Pop Century in May and I loved it. It's much better than the All-Stars!! Try for the 60s building it's close to everything! Don't miss the Lo Mein in the food court and of course, the hot fudge Sundaes!!

True dat! The Lo Mein was awesome. As was the cheesesteak. As were all of the desserts. The food at POP was so good I didn't care that I was gaining 45 pounds.

The Tye Dye Cheesecake!! You can't gain weight in Disney!! It's one of those things like chocolate not having any calories if you wash it down with a Diet Coke!! Ok now I'm hungry and have to wait until 1PM to chow down!! :p

Have a twinkie tiramasu for me while your there. We were there in June and had a blast! I would say that the shower area's by the pools are your best bet, but when you get there to check in you might ask upfront how early you might be able to check in early. Can't hurt to try! Have a blast! Enjoy Eride nights they are soooo worth it!
